C	Carol Holland on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shale Beach House is a delight. Well appointed, comfy beds, nice views. Surprisingly quiet considering it's right on the highway. Hosts are responsive and property manager thorough. I love staying here and am lookimg forward to the next visit!

However, the owners (Colleen and Phil) kept our deposit and charged us for absurd number of things. The property manager told me that I did not have to move the garbage and recycle to the curb as I was checking out on Sunday and it was a long weekend. Therefore, the pick up was not to happen until Monday (leaving the garbage out/recycle out will cause raccoons to come). But they still charged me extra for not taking the garbage out. Furthermore there were charges for little things like ‘not sweeping the floor properly’, etc. - when in fact we paid DOUBLE for the cleaning fees due to COVID-19 (because they needed more time). We would not be coming back any more.

Philip (owner) and Joe (Property Manager) are friendly, helpful, professional and quick to respond. No doubt my family and I will be going back.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. It’s extremely clean, cozy with an awesome backyard where you find a hot tub (yay!) and a perfect playground for your kids. It’s close to the water and to Georgian Trail. Strongly recommended for a vacation or as a weekend getaway.

It is very roomy and the beach is just across the street. There is so much you can do. Very close to Collingwood and Blue Mountain, which offers something for everyone. We went cycling and running. There is an awesome walking /running /cycling path (34 km length) just about 300 m from the house. We enjoyed the fall colours from the hot tub in the backyard. It is the perfect location for any kind of getaway. We will definitely be back!
G	Glenn Gundermann on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my second year at the Shale Beach House. I just love it. The entire place has the highest quality of amenities. The kitchen is amazing. The living room is comfortable. The dining table fits a lot of people. I like the bedroom and bathroom on the main level. Love the hot tub and sitting on the patio. The Georgian Trail is right behind the house and is 34 km long, perfect for cycling, running or walking. Across the road is a hidden access to swim in the bay. I set my chair there and feel it's a private area. I highly recommend staying here.
