★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have visited this location and these cottages as a family tradition for years. We have always had an amazing experience. That was, until this year. Although we had a great time with friends and family, We knew we needed to bring our own paper towels and napkins. We were not prepared to have to bring hand soap for the two bathrooms, toilet paper or dish soap to wash our dishes.
When we arrived Friday evening, the doorway was not shovelled out, there was no DRY wood in the cottage, and the damper on the fireplace was not working. No kindling or paper was supplied to light any fire, either.
At around 0130 all of the kids (7 of them) woke up freezing and complaining that there were no night lights on. Not only was our heat off, our entire breaker panel was turned off… from 0130 until 0630. We had to burn our garbage in order to start the fire again because of the wet wood that is supplied (in a limited amount).
For $70/ head / night we should have stayed somewhere with better customer service or amenities. Unfortunately we will not be back.
