★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently played 18 holes at Settler’s Ghost Golf Club on Horseshoe Valley Rd. It was early in the season but the course conditions were in fantastic shape! The pro shop is well stocked and reasonably priced with a very friendly staff member. I had a frost delay but there are practice putting greens that are very useful and in good shape. There is a driving range available that uses name brand golf balls instead of the usual practice balls. There is a noticeable difference.
The course itself is very well laid out and easy to navigate. I found the golf fairways very forgiving with miss hit shots sometimes funnelling down to the fairway. The greens are tough!
Look at the pin from one angle and you’d swear you had a downhill putt only to find your putt losing steam on the way uphill. Very tricky. The course is good value for the money. The grass is manicured. The fairways are perfect. All in all, a lovely peaceful setting for a challenging game of golf.
