Carefully consider whether you want to use this company! I had a major flood in my house and Service Master Restore was sent by my insurance company. The lead person for the team that came to my home didn't come until the next day because it was "too late now" and his "workers won't come at this time", leaving me to deal with the 2 inches of water on the flood by myself. I opened the claim at 8:30 pm and was told that I would receive a call from a contractor who would help clean up in about half an hour. I didn't get the call until 10:30 pm, when I was told it was too late for anybody to come. Throughout the entire process, there was only anxiety, frustration and anger. These were my biggest issues: -there were things that were water-damaged, like parts of the hardwood floor and ceiling where water was actually dripping down, which we had to argue about because Service Master Restore didn't want to remove it -many contents were removed from the house, and I assumed (stupidly) they were keeping track and being thorough: many things that were disposed of didn't make their list at all (keep track yourself!), there were things from their initial list that didn't make it on the report to my insurance company. Now that things are said and done with my insurance company, I am left wondering what else has been missed? -contents were removed that didn't need to be (only water-damaged contents should have been removed . . . much more in my home was - and wasn't listed) -contents in my home were broken by the Service Master Restore team: it was brought to my attention, but nothing was done about it until I inquired . . . and then I was chasing the person for over a month -while cleaning my basement, I realized that cans of ginger ale from my cold celler were taken, opened, consumed and just left there (for me to clean up afterwards) In all, during this extremely stressful time, it actually wasn't my insurance adjuster that caused stress, it was having to deal with this company. If dealing with insurance, you have a right to say that you want to hire your own company, who will hopefully have your best interest at heart, not their own or the insurance company, whom, I'm sure, you already spend too much money paying into for insurance.

The moving crew was good or at least I thought so until they left. Two days later while dusting my furniture, I discovered they had lifted a night table by the top only and it was severed completely from bottom section. The top section was neatly put back in place so to the eyes all appeared perfect. I was dusting it when the secret was exposed. So I thought hmmm so that was the thud I heard and that is what caused the dent in my new flooring. I was too trusting to think that grown men would be dishonest about a mishap or two. Adding insult to injury, when I reported it, I was told it must have happened after they left as I was quoted as being happy and was watching them the whole time. Never happened! Word to the wise, if you have to use them, watch them without blinking. Just in case, like I, you did not know, there is only 48 hours to report any anomaly. Do not be alone with the movers as who knows how they will react if you witness them trying to 'cover up.' I told them I was just extremely grateful to God that I can report my story. There are honest people out there until you discover ones like these.

I used these guys for an emergency patching of my roof. They were sent by my insurance company. They have been an absolute nightmare to deal with and do not return calls. They left all kinds of shingles on my neighbour’s lot and never came back for cleanup and outright denied it was their doing. Do not use these guys, you will regret it as I do. As someone heavily involved in the construction industry I can tell you they are not professionals and do not stand behind their work. Here is a picture of the mess they left behind. They saw an empty lot and just threw everything over the fence - they claim the wind out it there. You’ve been warned

We had a city sewage drain blockage that caused massive flooding in our basement at 11pm on March 4th. Aalia and Danny from Service Master arrived by 2am, worked until 5am and returned by 10am to continue the huge cleanup. They returned daily until the job of cleaning, sanitizing, packing boxes, moving furniture and identifying all the damage was completed. Aalia and Danny were so professional and caring. They took the best care of us to make sure that everything was done perfectly and the clean up was complete. We don’t know what we would have done without them! Thank you Aalia, Danny and Service Master for your professionalism, hard work and immense care to do a fantastic job!

If I could provide more than 5 stars I honestly would. My apartment unit had suffered water damage as a result of a fire on the floor above me which resulted in damage to my floors and walls. After months of paperwork delays from insurance companies, Joseph Jahshan (construction manager) and his crew were finally able to get my apartment back to normal. The new floors were installed, baseboards replaced and walls re painted where necessary. Joseph provided clear and precise details on what his crew would be doing and how long everything would take. Being the curious cat that I am, I couldn't help but stop by during the renovations to take a look. Joe's team did an OUTSTANDING job of making sure any and all items that couldn't be removed (such as my TV, entertainment stand, dresser, etc) were protected as best as possible by shrink wrapping and tarping and not just putting them aside. After 5 business days, my unit was finished and ready for me to move back in and everything was placed back where it was originally found as promised (they even reassembled the Ikea bed!). They cleaned up any and all areas they were working in or had used and left my place looking better than I had left it. I can not thank them enough.
