Service Canada Centre and Passport Services - Calgary

- Outside of the building: I arrived there at 7:10am on may 26 Thursday. There were 13 people ahead of me. by the time at 8am there were around 40 people in line. But the line moves pretty quickly. Two ladies handed out mask and ask about the date of ur trip around 8:20. when they distribute the mask, they asked whether you travel before end of June 2022. So, i guess they are okay to stand in line even if ur travel date is more than 25 days. One of the lady ahead me, i overheard that her travel date was july 12, but she was able to get the service. A security guard starts letting people in at 8:30. - Inside the office There are plenty of seats inside so i was able to get in without waiting outside longer. I waited around 20 mins, and my number got called. The staff went over of my application line by line so even if I made a mistake, she corrected it on spot. You pay everthing with credit card. I got everything done by 9:20. Despite everything went smoothly, and they do the work pretty quickly, the long line up was still outside. when i walked out the office at 9:20, there were around 40 people in line waiting outside. (Similar length of line before office open.) - Other side notes 1. my travel date is on june 1st. she told me i can pick up my passpory on may 31 at harry hays. The fee was $210 ($160 for 10 yrs passport + expedite fee $50). Paid with credit card. 2. She prints out a receipt that contains barcode. You have to bring your ID and this receipt to Harry hays. i was advised to arrive after 12 at harry hays because they print out passports in the morning. You dont have to go crazy early as passport pick up has separate line and should take u max 20 mins to pick up at harry hays. 3. There is washroom that you can use inside the buidling. Even if the passport office open at 830AM, you can still use it. :) i def recommend this one over harry hays building if the weather is good.. Good staffs and efficient process. I hope gov of canada should do something to resolve this hectic passport situation. This is totally nonsense. but i appreciated the fact that staff there were working hard to service us. I hope everybody can get the passport on time for your trip :)

Alison was super nice, great customer service! Also the security guard Rick was very nice too. Great experience here, 100% recommend here over the downtown location. The wait time here wasn’t bad at all! Much quicker than downtown.

Went to stand in line at 545am on a weekday. I was first in line. By 6am there were 3 people in line. Around 730 there were maybe 10 people in line, and at 830 there were 40 people in line. The security guard said that 40 people take about 1.5 hrs. Kind people and fast service. Took 15 minutes when I was inside. Bring a chair and protection from the weather as there is no shelter. If you are walking-in then you cannot be serviced unless you have Proof of Travel. There is only a single line, not 2.

From the moment you walk in you're greeted with some of the most friendly staff I have ever encountered. The blue eyed security guard kept me company while waiting in line. I had the pleasure of being helped by Alison today and she is what customer service should be measured by. Extremely friendly and outstanding personal skills!

Excellent work done ...when I visited here there is long queue outside before opening ..they impressed to see how they handle people in professional and friendly manner.... They Organized everything within a minutes... And I have no words to appreciate staff work ..thanks alot counter number 10 madam... She guide me lot of things and fix my mistakes in sin. She is so polite and respectful.??

Amazing service. Everyone from the person walking the line, to the people going through applications were professional, effective, and fast. Especially since it's been a busy time for passport, I lined up for 30 mins outside and everything completed within an hour. Recommend lining up around 7:45 if you don't have an appointment

I have always had a great experience at this location, despite them being very busy. The security people outside were very friendly and were trying their best to keep everyone happy, even though there was a long line. They did their very best to get everyone in before they closed, which was greatly appreciated. The difference between this centre and the one in Temple is a like the difference between night and day. I will always go to this centre because it has been a positive experience!

It was clean, quiet, and (almost) everybody was EXTREMELY friendly. I was dreading the whole experience - however, I was pleasantly surprised with the lovely woman who helped us with our application. I was tempted to add 4 stars, because the woman who greeted us initially and went over our paperwork was fairly unpleasant, BUT, the woman who ended up helping us was so fantastic she made up for the first interaction. We were in and out in 30 minutes for four passport applications. Everybody left with smiles on their faces. I highly recommend this location over the Harry Hay's building, if you can get an appointment! (The woman who helped us, I believe, is a Team Lead - I wish I knew her name so I could thank her again!)
