Andrea Giacobbo BScPT, BA Certified in Acupuncture
Andrea is the owner of Seine River Physiotherapy and has over 20 years of experience in the field of Physiotherapy. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Sciences in Physiotherapy in 2004 and earned a BA in Psychology and Zoology from the University of Manitoba.
She has spent time working as a physiotherapist across Canada and around the world in countries such as Australia and Africa. She holds a license to practice in Manitoba, Australia and New Zealand and has spent time doing relief work with the volunteer organization “A Better World” where she provided physiotherapy services in Third World countries. Andrea has volunteered on the Board for the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba and has sat on multiple committees for both the licensing board in Manitoba and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Physiotherapy is a deep passion of Andrea’s, and she continues to further her studies in multiple areas of the field, including accreditation in acupuncture and a deeper understanding of Vertigo. She practices in orthopaedic, vestibular, cardiorespiratory and neurological physiotherapy in both the private and public sectors. Her wide range of expertise, insight and knowledge experienced across the globe have given her a greater understanding of the multi-faceted world of physiotherapy and general health practices.
Andrea’s ultimate goal as a physiotherapist is to guide her patients towards a healthy active lifestyle of their own, not only by decreasing pain and reducing and rehabilitating injury, but by teaching them what is happening within their bodies with the end-goal of helping them to improve their overall quality of life.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff are all so pleasant and welcoming as soon as you walk in the door!! Alexandra de Vries treated me on a few occasions for a “very persistent and awful case” of Vertigo. Alexandra was simply Amazing!!!! A very knowledgeable lady indeed!! She is such a caring, thorough and patient individual!!! I’m certainly on the road to recovery with her help, guidance and home exercises. Thank you Alex!!!! I am so glad I met up with you!!!
