Back several years ago my application had extra pages "added by the local office in violation of corporate policy" requesting confidential client information (Site names/Client names/Phone numbers/Patrol details/Billing rates) for past experience in security; not the security company details.

Friendly services, from the staff member that took my resume. But not old school, job search. I'm living in a place with no computer access. So applying on-line is hard.

get work one day and 2 days no work. they hired SG every day but don't give enough hours, you are lucky if you get 40 hours a week. $15 pay hour. Some office staff very professional.

Lost for words. My home alarm went off an hour ago and no one was home. This company was sent to my house by the home alarm company. I beat them to my house. Security guard didn't even get out of his car, but he gave me a piece of paper with a checklist he ticked off of the supposed inspection he did of my home. He even signed it. The piece of paper also stated that my driver's license was taken as ID, but I was never asked for it. I think I'll trust my family's security to my own baseball bat from now on.

This was a year ago - and thankfully I'm employed now. I applied for a job posting online last year and the experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth. Never have I been treated as such by any employer. I remember I was e-mailed for a job interview in Calgary by Narnie Sundar after applying on Indeed. We then agreed to a time for the the interview via e-mail. Fast forward to the morning of the interview: I met with Ms. Sundar and I was polite, in good clothes, clean shaven and on time for the interview. I also completed the pre-employment Securitas knowledge and language comprehension test (prior to the interview) and was told I did very well on it. Ms. Sundar then said I'd be hired on "trial basis" and she'll call me by Friday (the interview was on a Wednesday) to let me know where I'll be scheduled to work. I was excited that I finally found a job. Friday came and I received no confirmation call or e-mail from her or from anyone in the company. I then contacted her via e-mail early Monday morning and was told bluntly that the position was no longer available. Strange - considering there were lots of positions available as per the job postings found online - including their own website. After this, I really couldn't help but think my Indigenous / First Nations background had something to do with this. I have the experience, skills and flexibility. To further confirm this, I applied for another security position with Securitas a few weeks later and got an e-mail from her looking to schedule me for an interview. I didn't respond. She'd clearly forgotten about me but since I have an Anglo last name and a resume that stands out - I was obviously on par with what the job requirements were. I am not sure what happened but offering a job to someone and then pulling it back without notice is simply very cruel and unprofessional - especially in this economy.

I have worked for this company a long time and best security company I work for. Everyone is friendly they will go out of their way to help you. The office is the way of the future, you come into the office if you have an appointment and sign into the tablet that is there. and someone will respond to you as soon as possible.

I have a very close relative that works for Securitas, and I used to work for Securitas. The account managers, at least one of them doesn’t seem to give a rip about her guards! I know of at least one who has been at a site for over two years, all throughout Covid, never missed a day, and can’t even get an answer about a raise increase email! Absolutely disgusting that the reliable staff swept under the rug and ignored. As well as going to years without a raise through all this Covid when everyone else has gotten a raise at almost every other company, cost-of-living has increased dramatically, and I happen to know Securitas renews their contracts every year. It kind of makes you wonder if the increases are being passed on to their guards. Extremely disappointed in this company that I used to be so loyal to
