★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went into Emerg last night too be checked out after experiencing symptoms after starting a new medication that the prescription information slip indicated to seek immediate medical attention if you experienced. I was extremely disappointed and angry about the care I received from the on call nurse when I walked in. When I explained my condition she laughed in my face. She treated me like I was crazy and continually asked me why I was "so upset". I went to emerg to receive compassionate care and was instead treated like I was out of my mind. This nurse had no manners and did not even ask me why I started this new medication, she had only taken my blood pressure and mocked me. This is not how a nurse, especially in emerg with already upset patients should be acting. If I can avoid it, I will never go back to this hospital again. The doctor was very helpful however but the initial immediate care was extremely off putting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I hate Dr. Rooyakkers he doesn't listen to patients, especially if its about the women's monthly period. I have complained to him about issues over the last 3 to 4 years and have had to switch to a nurse practitioner and she finally got me in to see specialists for the issues I came out to Dr. Rooyakkers for.
Totally different, my experience in the waiting room is very poor. I would have an appointment at 11 am and I would still be in the waiting room until 11:30-12. I do not like waiting, I set up an appointment, I expect to be taken in around that time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The stroke unit at Seaforth is amazing. So compassionate and caring. The nursing staff is world class. There are so many wonderful staff but a couple of shout-outs. Dr Dan Rooyakkers is supported by an incredible team. Mark in Physiotherapy was so encouraging. The food was really great (I was surprised too!). We are so blessed to have such a wonderful facility in SW Ontario.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to ER. Was taken in within 3 minutes, and waited about 20 minutes to see the doctor. Doctor took time to examine me, gave me his opinion and treatment plan. In and out in about 30 to 40 minutes, so a very positive experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff is horrible. Rude, don't care for you. There for a paycheck clearly. Some of the nurses are amazing, but they cant be there all the time.
