Seabus is an excellent option to shorten the travel time to cross from Vancouver Downtown to North Vancouver. If you travel by road it takes more time to go around the Burrard Inlet. But the Seabus cuts directly across from the Waterfront Station to Lonsdale Quay in North Van. We used this catamaran service in August 2019. It is part of the BC Transit system.

It's my preferred way to go to downtown, if you go to seabus specifically in cloudy Days the view of the mountains are amazing, always take the seats at the corner to enjoy view from both sides of the seabus.

Really cool place to travel from downtown Vancouver to North Vancouver. The seabus is a quick 15 minute ride and during the ride it does feel really smooth. The price is decent and I’d definitely recommend riding this at least once if you come visit Vancouver or just go to downtown. Overall it’s a pretty good experience so it’s a 10/10.

Looking for a convenient mode of transportation to cross the Vancouver Harbour? Well if you chose not to rent a car for your stay I’d recommend the Seabus for your consideration. There are numerous crossings per day that take less than 15 minutes (with the U.S./Canadian exchange rate it’s actually closer to 11 minutes ?) and the vessels are clean and have great visibility. And that’s…Henry’s Take. @henrystske

Beautiful experience . Covered by a compass day / monthly pass and is a great time to go during sunset hours to see the city without paying for an expensive boat tour! Once you cross you have lovely views in North Vancouver as well! Definitely a must do !
