★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An satisfactory offer was negotiated by e-mail for the trail of evidence. No much questions about my car condition were asked and process seemed to be easy. My old car was going to be picked up from the dealership where I was picking up my new vehicle. Plates were transferred to my new car. Scrapcargta / Scapy Inc guys show up on time. The entire declaration posted on scrapcargta.ca “We pay what we quote on the phone and do not try to reduce the price at the time of picking up your vehicle” went out of the window very fast. The list of Scrapcargta guys pointing to what was wrong with my car was getting longer and longer by the second as if they were expecting me to hand them over my new car not the one I wanted to be scrapped. The staging was also made to the perfection. Once they made sure I will be left with no options, and aware of a costly towing need of the old car when I would not agree to what they were willing to pay, they offered only 45% of the previously agreed offer. With no alternative feasible option, I needed to take the lower offer. My old car was towed away as per attached picture (orange Dodge Caliber).
