★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A place to store some cash and earn a few Scene points; I honestly cannot recommend this branch for anything more. The tellers are very friendly, but also prone to error. Have the app open so you can double-check things and have them corrected before you leave. The real tragedy is the revolving-door financial "advisors" and mortgage "specialists". Good grief: you'd find more expertise in grade 10 economics students. Not a place to put your faith in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yes, this is probably what you'd expect from a bank, but I've always had really good luck with the staff here being attentive, helpful and kind. I've never felt like people are standing around and not opening lines because they can. You know that feeling at a bank? That's just the worst.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bank with them 2 years ago and went in today to re open a account and they are exactly the same. That's why I closed my account in the first place. I will never bank with Scotiabank again who cares about Scene points.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried setting up a meeting with with at this bank three times, the first two were suppose to be phone calls - no one phoned. And the third one which was suppose to be an in-person meeting I received an email telling me they would be unable with there to help and gave me a toll free number to call. I ended up just walking into the 8th street branch and they were able to help me right away. Downtown branch is useless.
