Made it completely impossible to set up a new bank account I waited over 2 month almost 3 months for my bank card in the mail I was trying for the new bank account incentive but declined the bank account closed before I could use it . The bank card mailed to me did not work. Plus they dont treat native people that great which sucks and this is not only this location......

Went in to close my account because the service is low and fees keep increasing. They charged me an additional $6.95 fee to close my account. It feels like a slap in the face considering I had this chequing account with them for 23 years.

Their ATM stole my money. After being bounced around automated systems and told to enter extension numbers on phone numbers with automated system to be bounced around and eventually contacting the manager by email (in that case the guy at the bank who told me to call the useless number should have got the money and contacted the manager) who has been half as useful as a pile of bricks I was told they would not give me my money back. You better write me a cheque to replace the money you stole.

Made a bank deposit at the instant teller in April 2021. The machine deposited 5000.00 into my account instead of a cheque for much less. I called Scotiabank and told them of the error. I than had to call the Bank directly where i had used the machine. I left a message for the manager explaining the situation and to call me back. NEVER heard back from him. The error was corrected but two months later i find out there was a 5000.00 hold on my account which i was NEVER told about. To correct this I had to go into the branch personnally and have it corrected. Well the smudge teller communicated on his computer with the assistant manager whom i could see through the glass. He never got up to say I am sorry for this inconvenience so balant his lack of customer service. I must say gentlemen I am sorry I deal with the Bank of Nova Scotia. If I had not gone into the Belmead branch to withdrawl cash I would have not know until I guess something bounced. And Who would have taken responsibility for that.

I could rate them less than one star I would. I have been banking here for only my Mortgage, for the last 8 years. I have been trying to switch banks for about 6 months now. They make many errors, a few times they have miss counted cash that I was putting towards my Mortgage, it's been kinda cleared up each time. They have lost paper work, maybe misfiled, I don't really know. It's impossible to get anyone from the branch on the phone, and they take a week to get back to you on email. I am still waiting on paper work I requested 6 months ago. I have followed up. I have called the 1800 line 3 times today, and have just been turned around in circles. If you enjoy to be frustrated, this is the bank for you.

Took an appointment to open an account as my mortgage will be finance at that institution and I'm not yet a client. The agent assigned to my file was hard to understand in English language, he also asked me 3 times my phone number, erratic, lunatic, honestly felt like he had no clue what he was doing. It took way longer then anticipated and I urgently needed to use the washrooms... he wouldn't let me use the toilet, he told me to go else where to pee! I literally had to beg and finally another employee lead me to the bathroom. It was so humiliating. I'm bonded with them via my mortgage but they will not get any further business, not impressed at all.

Unfortunately it just wasn't a good experience and I don't feel very confident in this bank as a whole.From the beginning it was issue to even open an account. I wasn't allowed to do it in person, I had to do it online...so I did it online, outside of the branch on my phone and went in after to get my card. Well, they didn't set up my account properly in the first place, so now they can't my identity at any branch other than my original which is in b.c.. not alberta. The dismissal and ignorance of the first teller I dealt with at this branch was disheartening and the manager with the ponytail is clearly scared of talking to people....it's your job... anyway I'll most likely be closing my account. The incompetence this bank shows is clearly of those who do not care about their customer unless they have a substantial amount of money in their account.
