Denise Lenz of Schleese Saddlery Service fat shames her clients! One of my friends was fat shamed and told to go on a keto diet today! This person isnt even near fat and Denise has no ideas of what struggles and/or medical issues my friend has! Shame on her!

Seems to be a good company to deal with. I have had the saddle fitters out multiple times to adjust my saddle. I never feel a massive improvement like they say i should but my mare seems comfortable enough.

Saddle fitting « clinicΒ Β»: we’re told our saddles don’t fit properly (which is why we went after having ensured they would do saddle fitting on site) and that because they don’t fit, they can’t be adjusted to fit better ?. But it’s $$$$, cc accepted thanks.

Bought a saddle off them, while at a course. I wasn't told that there was no way to get the saddle adjusted in my own country, until I had paid in full and was organising shipping. Before you buy a saddle off them, make sure there is someone who can adjust it for you, because they sure won't tell you!!

Bought a saddle upon encouragement from a trainer which was shipped to me based on previous measurements for my horse. Had an agreement regarding returning without restocking fee. I paid shipping both ways, they refused to refund the tax they charged me, stating that they had already paid the taxes and wouldn't get them refunded so they could not refund the taxes to me. I've never heard of a company keeping the tax on a returned item. Extremely poor customer service and poor bookkeeping- the documents they sent showing their bookkeeping had handwritten adjustments, credits, and changes to tax rates that were never communicated to me. I filed a dispute with my CC, the documents Schleese provided to the CC company had been redone without the handwritten changes and were different from what they provided to me- they told the credit card company that the money they did not refund was for shipping, even though I had the receipts for shipping that I had paid and they had told me it was due to tax. Also to reiterate other concerns- they will only come to your barn to fit if you have at least 4 people there, otherwise you have to haul to another location with limited hours and very little notice in order to arrange your schedule. The expensive price is sold as "never buy another saddle again! just get this one adjusted" but it's very expensive to pay for the assessments and adjustments over the years and difficult to arrange fittings. I've had trainers and barn friends who have had serious problems with their quality control as well. Great sales people, horrible service and bookkeeping.
