Great company to work for

Very entry level fuel hauling company. Some of their drivers should not be qualified to drive without some kind of anger management. I will be watching out for them with my dash cam ready next time.

Been working for Scamp Transport since May 2012. They have been instrumental in supporting me in my career as a professional driver. I have become a much better driver since working here. You are valued as a member of their family.

Scamp offers a great lifestyle with 4 on 4 off shift rotation. Enjoy the benefits of working at a big company but with family-friendly culture. Tractors come pre-ordered with inverters, 18speed manual trans, Cummins engines, Michelin tires, JW Speaker headlights, LED work lights and more. Columbia trailers are top of the line equipped with lift axles, back up lights, Michelin tires and more. Hard to find a Company that offers better support to their drivers.

From my first day of employment with Scamp they have made me and my family feel welcome and cared about, with having plenty of time to spend with my family and still making a great living. I have always felt that Scamp has put there employees first with providing the best technology and equipment for the job.

Where to start. They have a system built on taking from the drivers. If anything goes wrong, they take "safety bonus" money of the driver. Paperwork error ie, and wrong date or missed a postal code all costs you. If you go 5km over the speed limit and for 10 seconds it costs you 5$. They also take again from you for the same errors on your Christmas bonus. In every management course I have taken I always heard you should never have your employees feel you are taking from them. The worst benefits In the history of trucking. No major dental for 2 years.they include medical ei as part of your long term disability. You also pay your own long term disability premiums. Because the Christmas bonus is what they call profit sharing, they have drivers washing soaker pads in gasoline to save money. Yet if you calculate the truck rate as 120$/hr it is 2$ per minute of truck rate to wash 30 Cent soaker pads. The truck rate is significantly higher than 120$. Why you don't have window kicking truckers run a company. So because the HSSE staff are financially motivated and they get the same bonus, you have drivers breathing in gas fumes (carcinogenic) to save pennies, if anything. It is hard to get replacement o-rings and API etc as they all affect safety bonus if they replace the. They also have a nice picture of brakes,drums and pads in their training PowerPoint. I thought they were going to talk about brakes and how they heat up or fail.... The fat guy who couldn't read the slide show just said how much they cost to replace, and them encouraged rolling upto lights and through stop signs to limit brake usage. In summary, everything is blamed on the driver (so they can take money from them) 30$/ hr if you get night shift bonus and can hustle. Brutal benefits, scary financially motivated safety staff. Find anywhere else in the world to drive.
