I really hate giving small businesses bad reviews, but I would like to share my experience so that other people are aware of the risk involved with refilling instead of replacing cartridges...Just as an FYI my printer is an HP Office Jet 8610. - I was up sold on refilling ALL of my cartridges ($82 total) when 2 still had some ink left in them, I was okay with this as he explained they were low and it wouldn't be worth my time to come back again - When I replaced the newly refilled cartridges my printer told me that they were damaged and/ or empty When I called the store back asking for a refund he offered to change the chip for his normal price (something that was never mentioned earlier at the store) - at no time during the initial sale was I told that there was a risk of the cartridges not working. I ended up just swallowing the failed refill costs and purchasing new cartridges as I don't have time to bring my printer in and see what the problem is. Bottom line is for me and my printer, it wasn't as easy as taking cartridges in and getting them refilled...Hopefully you have better luck with refilling or the wherewithal to just pay a bit more and replace the cartridge.

I used the place twice in the past with a satisfaction. After last experience I had to change my view completely. I had to return inferior substitute color cartridges, leaking color and messing my fingers and table when taken out of the printer. I ask for refund, which was rejected with accusation that cartridges are empty and with no listening to what happened. I was offered $1 back, which I rejected. Then I was asked to leave the store or the police will be called. I agreed believing that with them problem will be solved honestly. Instead I was treated for trespassing and had to leave the store, Only on the street in half hour discussion I was able to explain to the police the trouble. Advice to me: BBB or Small Claim court ...the most useless advice for $33 I paid for cartridges. Advice: enter on your own risk.

I went to Save On Cartridges knowing I would get a better price than Staples on my Epson cartridge. I did indeed and went home to to find it did not work. I called & spoke to Kevin who patiently helped me through the whole thing to find out I had been mistaken by buying the wrong one!! Kevin thank you for your patience and helping see what I could not see with my own eyes!!

I have been going to Kevin for my print cartridges for a number of years. I only buy about once or twice per year, but Kevin gives me the kind of customer service that a high volume customer would expect. Once I brought back a cartridge that I thought did not get the number of copies it should have and he refilled it for FREE. The best customer service I have experienced in a long time. He will always get my business and I highly recommend Kevin and Save on Cartridges Plus for any of your printer needs.

This place was great and reliable. I was taught a couple of things about how printers work while I was there. Ink is very cheap compared to big stores like Staples. When I read the reviews (after purchasing from them), I still thought highly of them because other reviews who put 1 or 2 stars, are pretty ignorant to how a printer works. For those who purchased ink but thought they ripped you off, go look at Staples prices, then compare to Save On Cartridges Plus prices. Very big difference. To those saying it will not work when you put your cartridge in, there are many possibilities to why this may be. If you research on how a printer works, you will see one of two things. One, the chip on the cartridge has not been replaced, therefore it will read the cartridge as empty. And if this does occur, just call them and i'm sure they will fix it for you. The second possibility is that it is too full. When a cartridge is too full, the printer will not recognize it completely. Again, this can be resolved if you asked them to. The biggest issue with all the reviewers that put one or two stars is that they are ignorant and do not know how a printer works and why. If they educated themselves before approaching the manager at this store and being completely unfair by yelling and not knowing everything can be defective, then that is their fault. With that being said, I do highly recommend this place and if you have any questions, just ask the worker there (usually the manager). Be level headed and you will receive great service. This store has been here for years (15+ years, stated by the manager) and would not rip anyone off for their money. If they did, they wouldn't last a month. Please just educate yourself or ask if you have any questions regarding their service, policies, products, or how a printer works. Take all reviews with a grain of salt, and remember, one review does not represent how an establishment conducts business.

Also, in response to Jake, Firstly, I would like to mention the fact that you returned to my store with the incorrect cartridge you received a whole month after the original transaction. At that point I could no longer recall which cartridge you had shown to me when you first came into Save On, but after 15 years of doing business at this location I can guarantee that I had given you the exact same cartridge that you had shown me previously. That is not to say that there was no possibility for a mistake on my part, and had you returned to my store sooner with your problem I would’ve gladly helped you get the correct cartridges. Under regular circumstances, in the case of which a mistake was made with cartridges, customers typically return with the incorrect cartridge within a week of the original purchase. In those cases they also are only looking for a exchange for the proper cartridge that they needed. In your case however, the issue was essentially the demands you made. The fact that you returned to my shop a month later and demanded a cash refund rather than an exchange for the correct cartridges that you needed made it extremely hard on my part to appease to your demands. Due to previous encounters with customers that tried to return their cartridges after they had changed printers, situations like these have become very difficult to manage; not to say that you did, in fact, lie in order to try and return the cartridges, but it is always a possibility and please understand that I had to consider that in my decision making. Taking that into consideration I did offer you a refund for your cartridges, but only in store credit as an entire month had past. Please keep in mind that even in big box stores like Staples, a return past the return time frame could only result in store credit β€” and not a cash refund as you demanded. When I offered you the store credit refund, you stubbornly got upset and left my store without any further discussion. I tried to do the best I could for you, but you left before anything could be resolved. If you would like, you can bring the cartridges back now and I'll still gladly give you a store credit refund. Hope you're able to understand my situation and this offer now may satisfy you.

I thought I needed more toner for my printer, but the clerk said the apparatus still felt full. I went home and and tightened the plugs on my printer and it started working again. I trust these guys, now they have a customer for life.

If you do not want to get ripped off by the owner, please stay away from this disgusting refill cartridge business. The store owner is very pushy and scammed us into buying a used cartridge for 70 dollars. So when we first came to the store, we brought our empty cartridge. We would just like to refill it and that would just cost about 15-25 bucks. However, the owner Kevin Huan lied that he is not able to refilled the cartridge and tricked us into buying a used cartridge that was labelled "New" on the box. (you can see it in the pictures I attached).He also took our old cartridge because he said he need to "recycle" it for us. So therefore we could have just let him refilled our old cartridge for 15 dollars instead of buying a used one from him which he took the old cartridge from previous customers that he refilled, packaged and sold them for 75 dollars!!!! What a rip-off!! We were dumb enough to let him tricked us into buying a "new" cartridge which in fact is a "used" one since the warranty label on the cartridge was broken(first picture). We learnt from our mistakes and that's the reason I am writing this review to let other people know. Well, that's how the owner makes his money and I am disgusted by his google review pretending how nice he is but in fact he is nothing but a scammer and all those 1 star review are in fact the real review he deserve. I will never come to this store again and hope no more new customers will get ripped off by this owner. This store also should rename itself, I would suggest scammer Ink would be a much better and suitable name for it :)
