BackThe life cycles for the materials recycled at SARCAN all have an interesting story! Aluminum has a closed-loop recycling process, which means that recycled cans turn back into new cans. The beverage you enjoy in a can today could be back on the shelf as a new can in as little as 60 days!
Plastics are turned into different kinds of recycled plastic products, such as park benches and plastic wood. Plastic flake gets used to create things like fleece jackets and automotive carpeting.
Clear glass gets melted down and turned into little tiny beads that get added into road paint to create reflectivity. On Saskatchewan highways, over five million pounds of recycled glass from SARCAN are put in the white and yellow lines on the road every year!
Coloured glass gets turned into fibre glass insulation. Cartons are turned into recycled paper products, and so much more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aside from the long wait times and occasional line cutters who were quickly exiled for their crimes against humanity, SARCAN PA has been handling this post-Covid-closure-reopening thing remarkably well. There are workers keeping the lines outside organized and fair, the inside is kept sanitized and cleaned after every customer, everyone you meet is in good spirits amidst all the hustle and bustle. This is a great example of a professional and organized business. Good job everyone at SARCAN! You guys deserve some mini vacations after the nonstop work you've been doing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had the poorest experience ever. I never been to SarCan before, today I was there but the guy in front of the door was so rude and he wouldn't let us in. Including me, there was two more people standing outside. It was -31 feels like outside. And we stood there for over 20 minutes. Why you giys couldn't give shelter to the people? They're your customers. If the person who was in the front would stand outside like us for 20 minutes in -31, he'd know how we felt. The service was penniless and this was a terrible experience. I'll never ever come again. I'd highly prefer the SarCan in industrial drive, at least the people who works there are treating their customers well. (For the person who's reading this, we all were standing outside and no customers were inside at that time.)
