The guys consistently parked anywhere and everywhere that wasn't a legal parking space even when there was legal parking available, and one of the senior people on site yelled at and berated my neighbor when he asked them to be more courteous to the neighbors and at least try to avoid parking in no parking zones.

These have included creating a new tiled main floor entrance, installing new lighting in the living room, targeted stone foundation repairs, external brickwork (mostly repointing but also including rebuilding the chimney) and structural work in the basement. As the house dates back to ca. 1895, all of these required flexibility, careful craftsmanship and imagination to complete. In all instances Sandy Hill Construction came through with flying colours. All jobs were started and completed on time, the work and attitude was professional, clean-up was never an issue, and John involved us in the required decisions (and cost ramifications) every step of the way. As with most houses, and certainly vintage ones, we have future projects in mind for the guys from Sandy Hill Constructions. Perhaps most indicative of our satisfaction, we have recommended these professionals to our neighbour, with work beginning in a few days.

K	Kelsey Mahon on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I purchased a relatively small 1940s home that had never been updated (knob and tube wiring, lead pipes, lime green kitchen!), so we wanted to do our research before selecting a company to do an addition and a complete reno. We met with too many contractors to count, but after meeting with Nathan, we knew Sandy Hill Construction was the right choice. His no-nonsense approach and willingness to be flexible were refreshing, and his pricing was competitive amongst smaller – medium sized companies and below many of the larger well-known firms in town. Our project was a pretty significant one - we did a complete gut (including all mechanical, plumbing and electrical) as well as nearly doubling the home in size with a roughly 900sqft 2-storey addition. This included a new kitchen, two new bathrooms and another bathroom renovation. We were very pleased with the quality of the work. Nathan has very good relationships with his sub-contractors, and a huge pro for us was that he was extremely accessible during the project. We were constantly calling him with questions of all sorts and he always picked up or called us back same day and never handed us off to someone else. I doubt that would be the case with some of the bigger companies. Finally, despite the massive scope of the project, it was completed right on schedule which we didn’t anticipate given all the horror stories we had heard from people who had gone through renovations of any magnitude. We have recommended Sandy Hill Construction to many family members, friends and neighbours and we will continue to do so.

We hired them to build a 220 sq ft addition to our 1960's bungalow. The new construction blends perfectly with the old and it looks as though it has always been there. We would totally recommend these guys, especially if you are looking for a no-nonsense experience!
