★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An expansive park with multiple play areas, picnic benches and grass areas. Free onsite parking but access is via a dirt road. There are temporary toilet facilities and the public bathroom was locked during our visit, hopefully this will change soon. Overall a nice park to bring the kids.

We had picked up some ice cream at Village Ice Cream and while looking at Google map, we spotted this area. We are so happy that we decided to check this place out.
There's a nice playground at this park, but that's not the drawing point. You can easily walk onto the Rocky beach area next to the river. The river is very shallow so there's no worry about being caught by any currents. People still launch their little rafts and float down the river.
It's a great place to bring your family. There's plenty of grassy area for bbqs and picnics. Kids can frolic in the water or skip some stones.
What a wonderful little place in Calgary!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic place to take your dog or kids for a walk when the weather gets warmer. Calgary offers such great walking trails and I find that this is one of the safest ones. the pavement is always even and there is potential for tripping. There are benches to sit so you can enjoy and afternoon lunch outside instead! try it at least once and see if you like it as much as I do.
