Curly-haired guy at the front desk was super nice. He upgraded us to a king room free of charge. Also, the sunroof on my car leaks and he lent me some duct tape and a trash bag to cover it up over night while it was raining. He deserves a raise. The room was also very clean. Would stay here again.

This is a really shabby hotel as many of the recent reviews have pointed out. Definitely had key issues on more than 1 occasion. Our friend's room had no heat and he had to get a new room. Then there was a leak in the bathroom behind the toilet. Our room was filthy, (i could.not believe it had been cleaned) bed barely made, torn carpet, curtain barely hanging on. The toilet light is connected to the air vent, which is so loud you feel like you are in a submarine that is about to explode. Just going to the bathroom was unpleasant and rushed. Until there is a major overhaul of this hotel, i would stay away!

The staff was really amazing and went above and beyond when dealing with some of the issues this older hotel was having that were out of their control. Having the pool right outside our room was really nice, but the hottub water was greenish brown every day.

If you like dirty rooms, bugs, free socks, bed cheerios and lobby fungus this might be the place for you! I've had the "privelege" of staying in this hotel for the last three months for work and at this point I can say with confidence that this is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. The cleaning here is atrocious.. I found cheerios and a sock in a "clean bed", I've found carpet beetles(my coworkers have as well) there is fungus growing in the entryway of one of the buildings. the biodiversity in this hotel truly is amazing. I've stayed in other sandman hotels that were clean and in decent shape but this one must have been forgotten by corporate. if the budget allows it i would highly recommend staying anywhere else. I'll add pictures of the fun things I've come across.

Our room was changed twice downgraded from a King. First time they did not tell us, just our email confirmed we had been downgraded a day before. We called and they said we had been downgraded because someone else extended their stay. We arrive and we’re moved again into a double queen room. The room was not vacuumed and quite frankly that makes me ask questions about the sanitizing and cleaning standards. We asked why we were moved to this room and it was because ours wasn’t ready … at 4:30pm. We asked if we could go back to the King we booked originally and the front desk said β€œthere’s nothing I can do” which is utter bull. I’ve worked in hospitality my whole life and this is NOT how you treat paying guests. We will not be staying again

Appreciated the upgrade from queen to king upon arrival, however, it may have been at the expense of being in a more noisy part of the building - heard the staff going in and out of the adjacent office, and the traffic outside. Room was clean and a nice place to call home base for a few days on the mountain. Good value for the price.

LOUIE! We love Louie, made us feel so welcomed. Our rooms were upgraded & Louie helped us with our bags up to our room! Hotel was clean, hot tub was gross (green and cloudy) when we went in is the only bad part. Otherwise the pricing was fair for this cute little mountain town hotel

I've stayed here a couple of times when driving between Vancouver and the Rockies / Calgary. The rooms are basic but they do the job (a place to break up the long drive) and they allow pets too. On the last stay Lewis at reception assigned us to a room at the back and it was so much better than the time before (which had a door to the pool, wasn't a fan of that). The room was spacious and allowed a lot of natural light. For the price you can't go wrong and we will be back again.
