★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sam helped me out so much with my dog Finn !! She helped me read his body language and his soreness to assure me how he was feeling and what he needed. He was so relaxed and comfortable with Sam and she showed me ways to massage Finn so we could keep his healing process moving quickly and now he is going for longer walks and loosening up !! Sam is amazing and my dog loved her :) Definitely recommend . Thanks !!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sam's was great until we no longer felt comfortable leaving our dog there. We unfortunately experienced two incidents within a month (one major emergency vet visit and one minor). With $700 in vet bills and $350 in unrefundable punch passes it was an expensive lesson for us. We would recommend paying by the day if you use the facility.
Edit: Compensation provided was not charging for the day she attended approximately an hour before being taken to the vet. Rather than acknowledging legitimate customer concerns about safety and comfort; the client is blamed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sam's is a great doggy daycare. However, my only complaint are the hours. 6pm close time is too early. Most doggy daycares are open till 8pm on week days and are open on weekends as well. Please consider extending your hours. Your customers will love you even more if you do!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I feel Sam's is a great place for larger dogs-- but not as much for the little ones. We took our pup here for quite some time and he used to love it. He'd be squirming in our arms to run into Sam's every time we pulled up! Unfortunately, this quickly turned into him whining, crying, and hiding in our arms when we'd drop him off. He loved dogs big or small and had good social skills, but we had a hunch he must've had a negative encounter with some larger dogs that left him scared.
His photos posted online on the Sam's Facebook page used to look like he was having a blast! However, the last few times he went he looked very scared, cornered by larger dogs, and anxious. It appears there's been newer staff since we first started taking him too. Before, we used to get a nice run down on how he did each day, but lately we'd only get a "he did good" with no further details. We sent food with him the last time he went, and were sad to see it come back fully untouched in his bag after hours of play.
The staff were always very kind, but it made us very uncomfortable that every time we'd drop off and pick up our pup nobody was wearing a mask. I feel best practice would have been to follow provincial guidelines and put a mask on when interacting with customers (especially when standing less than 6 feet away).
I don't doubt that larger dogs that can hold their own have a blast! Unfortunately, I don't feel Sam's is fully equipped to ensure their little guests are well taken care of and made to feel comfortable.
