★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were at Salon Mogador on Saturday for the belly-dancing show. I am giving two stars for the decor and the belly dancer, but most importantly the sweet girl who served our tables (I believe her name was Iman). We waited for about two hours for the main dishes (after receiving our entrees and drinks) so I asked the waitress if she forgot to give our order, but she did not, so no mistake on her part. Keep this in mind.
Another big group of 20+ customers were celebrating a birthday and their orders were prioritized, meaning that all the other clients who arrived afterwards had to wait well past 10pm. The waitress took the time to sincerely apologize and express her empathy towards our situation, then inquired to the kitchen about how long it would take for the dishes to arrive. Oh my God... we could hear from our table that the owner was YELLING on that poor woman telling it was her fault, but our dishes were not even ready to be served yet and she does NOT work in the kitchen! How is it her fault???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A wonderful and comfortable setting for dinner. The food was delicious. I ordered the chicken and apricot with almonds and the flavors were incredible. The chicken was cooked really well and the apricots added a bit a sweet which was complemented by the crunch of the almonds slices. I would repeat! They also provided some GF tortilla to accompany the meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was good, A little dry but good enough. After, The décor is really nice. But the service is horrible, we were a big group and the guys didn't get the food at the same time, the server was rude and anything that we asked, she seemed bothered. Like A lot bothered. and after i approached to her and ask her to be more respectful, she said that it is so, i don't need to come back. That wasn't the answer i was waiting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is absolutely amazing. I come to Montreal especially for this restaurant. The staff is absolutely lovely. We had the pleasure of being served by Iman this time and she was so sweet, helpful and attentive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was the first time I introduce friends to the food of my culture, the owner was rude. (Vraiment mauvais comportement!!) didn’t get to try anything from there but I DO NOT support this place or recommend it after how we were treated.
so disappointing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owner and staff are really nice and friendly. Food is very delicious and the atmosphere is absolutely lovely. There's a dancer every Saturday. Deserts are bomb as well (take the three kinds one, unfortunately I do not have a picture but it was really delicious with their tea). Will definitely come back again and highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Owner is very rude. I had reserved 3 months in advanced for my boyfriend’s birthday to get called a liar in the day of the reservation. I showed up and the owner has no recognition of ever speaking to me and had not write down my information for the reservation. Did not have any consideration nor respect to seat us. He just kept arguing and giving us excused. Very unprofessional. Do not recommend.

Great for a date or night out with foodie friends.
The lamb with prunes is so tender it begs you to eat him.
Come on Saturday for baladi and dances.
