The atomsphere of the place is supple, lights are dimmed and makes the restaurant feel comfortable. The decor is very reminiscent of post modern type of design. We got the Agnelotti and it tasted great, the filling inside was a perfect balance of snow peas and ricotta and the lamb sausage was just succulent. For this kind of quality, the price is steep. I wouldn't see myself as a regular but this is a great choice for dates/small gathering.

I'm Italian and I love this place. That's all I should have to say. The gnocchi are little pillows of happiness. A stand out was also the spaghettoni with rapini pesto. Open kitchen concept and wonderful staff too off the experience.

Went to dinner here with a few work colleagues based on another's recommendation. So glad we took his advice. The focaccia was great the cheese and bread ball appetizer was great and I can not tell you how good the gnocchi was. I will go back the next time we are in town.

The venue is adorable, but the menu is very expensive for what it's actually worth. Tagliatelle wasn't very flavourful and was closer to Fettuccini, only special thing about the seabass was the caviar, and the lamb wasn't fresh (cooked from frozen). Also, 5$ for a 10 cm by 10cm non-authentic focaccia. Overall, wouldn't recommend it due to the overpriced menu. The main "wow" factor was the venue, not the food.

Impasto really is a triple threat dining experience; service, food and ambiance. They check off all the boxes and you know you’re getting good quality and local produce. Plus who doesn’t love homemade pasta, right?! Innovative menu while respecting traditional Italian cuisine and an excellent wine list too. Staff is very knowledgeable in all aspects which is always appreciated.

Second time eating here and quality is so consistent. Ingredients are fresh, thoughtfully curated menu. There are SOOOO many Italian restaurants in Montreal and the burbs. If you want something more modern in an excellent part of Montreal this is definitely IT. My good friend & I met for lunch, he's from VSL & doesn't often come to this area. He absolutely loved it, we each had a nice glass of Vermentino, he had the sea bass which was cooked to perfection & I had the Tuna tartare. 10/10.

Quick last minute Montreal trip: dinner at @impastomtl - amazing service and incredible food. Everything was super delicious ???. . Antipasto Misto - 3 Homemade charcuteries, 1 cheese, condiments: you can't go wrong with good cured meats! These were really nicely done - not overly salty. Delicious flavours. The cheese was good too. Not too bold (which I like). . Polpo - Octopus, lentils, pancetta, gremolata: this octopus was grilled perfectly. Very tender! Loved the bits of pancetta ??. . Insalata Misticanza - Boston lettuce salad, endives, radicchio, hazelnuts: beautifully presented, and tasted super refreshing! Really loved the hazelnuts. . Focaccia - Homemade focaccia bread, olive oil: they had some of the fluffiest focaccia I've ever had! Delicious ??. . Casarecce - Mussels, cherry tomatoes, cannellini beans, saffron: I always love a yummy seafood pasta, and this casarecce dish was absolutely delicious! . Gnocchi di Ricotta - Tomato & basil sauce, parmigiano reggiano: pillowy soft gnocchi with a tasty tomato based sauce! Can't go wrong ??. . Papardelle Bolognese - Bolognaise sauce, porc, veal & beef, parmigiano reggiano: a classic sauce with perfectly done papardelle! . Costata di Manzo - Ribsteak 32oz, red wine sauce: this steak was 120$ - definitely made for sharing. Super tender and full of flavour. Perfectly cooked medium. The only minor criticism is that I kind of feel like that for 120$, it needs to have something more unique than just a steak. . Porchetta - Pork, endives, pear & gorgonzola, salsa verde: delicious dish! But I thought the porchetta might have been a bit too fatty for my liking. The other elements of the dish were super yummy too! . Rapini: good side dish that came with the steak dish. . Tiramisu: a classic Italian dessert - this was nice and light. Not too sweet. Not overly soaked in alcohol. Really good!
