This was the cleanest Safeway I've ever been in in my life. Big Bright and lots of choices. Even had the organic stuff I was looking for. Definitely going back. Yes tomorrow.

Go to location for small shopping trips as it's right by the train station. Always clean, staff are friendly. There is a Starbucks located inside, and there is also a decent range of ready to go meals, a selection of baked goods and a deli as well. Haven't noticed any issues with keeping shelves stocked despite the local Walmart often having nearly empty shelves.

I love Safeway and the Starbucks workers are very kind but the self check out workers are absolutely atrocious. I had asked if they had bags since there are not any at the tills and boy did I get my head ripped off chewed up and spat out... yikes. Obviously they were having a terrible day but please try not to take it out on the paying customers... asking to purchase a bag..... really left a sour taste in my mouth. I only visit this location for the Starbucks as there is not a closer one in the area..

I am updating a recent review. I had an issue with my shopping experience here and spoke to the front store manager. The manager was so incredibly kind, respectful and polite - she addressed my concerns and resolved the situation promptly. This location is very convenient and has good prices on diapers, bread products and deli meats. Most of the staff here are helpful and friendly. ?

I usually go to Austin Ave Safeway, and I came here because it was on the way. I simply asked for a reusable bag, as they weren't clearly displayed. I asked one big blonde lady. She was so rude and condescending and said, "they aren't free." I am fully aware they aren't free. I think you should not work in Customer Service if you can not be nice to the people who contribute to your company. Typical Karen. Seeing these comments, they need to do something about the staff in this store!

I’m a regular customer of the store and it was okay to go to shopping there till yesterday. On Wed, i purchased a waxing kit that contains strips and spatulas and paid by apple pay. When i opened it at home, i realized that some items were missing. So yesterday, i visited a customer service to get a refund it and explained why I wanted to do it. That’s not my fault that some part of items were missing, but she didn’t apologize at all about their poor product quality and started to be stubborn and rude that my apple pay didn’t match with the card number on the receipt. So I told her I just had two cards so it’s impossible that didn’t match, and I showed her my apply pay transaction record that exactly matched with the price and time all. But her answer was like it didn’t matter whether you had the exact record or not. Eventually, she called a manager and the manager checked my receipt and apply pay record and allowed me to get a refund and left. The manager said to the employee that she also didn’t know why it happened but as the customer proved the transaction which matched price, date, and time, you could give a refund for her. I felt the employee face had a lot of complaints about giving me a refund cuz she thought she was right. Also she never apologized for inconvenience at the end. The store should train their employees correctly and teach how to say sorry to customers about the store’s insufficiency at least someone who is in charge in the customer service.

β€œSafe” to say my nightly Safeway venture was a success. Came for Boondi, left with chickpeas balls, 2 limes, and a sense of self. Faaaantastic flower, reminds me of Devin. Typical crowd on skytrain. Only one fight..i digress. Until next time. -Chad

Placed an order with the 48 hour notice as requested. Show up at my time slot and first they tell me I'm at "the wrong location, darling" So I showed them my confirmation screenshot that I took when I placed the order. Correct location, correct time, correct day. They look through their book and they're like well we don't have it. So I was like, excuse me you need to fix this. I gave 48 hours as requested, I'm at the correct place and time. Then they tell me the manager didn't print it. Like that's supposed to fix things? A failure on the managers part is not my problem. There is only a few locations doing orders because of COVID. The bare minimum the manager can do is make sure orders are filled out correctly. It gets better. The deli forgot to add the scan tags so the cashier tell me she can't scan it and just stares at me until I tell her to call the deli. She keeps staring so I say again, call the deli. Then while we're waiting the manager comes up and says she can't see the order in her end so I show her the confirmation. She then asks why I didn't pay online. I said there was no option. She kept asking me a bunch of questions until I told her I was already late and had to go. No apology for missing my order just for delaying me at the register
