β β β β β Got my second watch from Russell today and thought it was time for a review. The customer service here is top-notch. These folks have a genuine enthusiasm for watches and of course in-depth knowledge of their merchandise. Today I got the Formex Essence Fortythree with the white dial. I also picked up the black silicone strap for it. The watch is beautiful with a nice combo of brushed and polished surfaces, elegant dial with applied hour markers, and of course it is COSC certified so it will keep excellent time. The quick-change system for the straps is super easy to operate too and will make this my go-to travel watch. Very happy with this purchase.

β β β β β Went to Russel jewelers as my brother was looking to purchase a Seiko watch. I was very impressed with the friendly and engaging staff, their product knowledge and their unpretentious attitude. Watch shopping can be fraught with snobbery and that was not the case here - very refreshing.
They also have an excellent selection in stock, which can be rare. Being able to see and touch the options is so important and it's a great opportunity to support an honest, salt-of-the-earth local business.

β β β β β Large selection of Seiko watches, you can't go wrong. Quite a few smaller more unique brands like Damasko and Mondaine. Prices are reasonable, in line with market rates.
Junghans is a huge brand in Germany, but hard to find here. I bought my Max Bill Automatic here. It's one of those things that can't be explained. You either love it, or meh. They just started selling Junghans. Recommend.

β β β β β Can't believe I haven't written a review yet. Definitely a favourite place of mine for watch browsing and shopping. Totally down-to-earth, fun, humble and knowledgeable team. Just love hanging out here. And so far bought 2 watches, and I am sure more. They have an amazing selection of Seiko. But also remarkable is their variety of brands, at least one of which you cannot find elsewhere in Canada. Formex, Squale, Damasko and Ollech & Wajs are all here. No sales pressure, just a good, fun time. Just what watch shopping should be!
