★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If we could give more than 5 stars we would. Our stay at the Runaway Rooster just blew our minds, the accommodations are comfortable, spacious and inviting. The hosts, were so kind and helpful. Very knowledgeable on the area and so easy to chat with. The breakfast was phenomenal, both mornings we ate there.
We hope to visit again soon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have stayed at the Runaway Rooster 3 times now over the last 5 months, twice with my husband and once with my mom. We all LOVE it. I feel like it is my home away from home. The cottage is drop dead gorgeous with absolutely every amenity and kitchen gadget you could ever want to use. We feel soooo comfortable there. It is in a great location - close to Picton, Sandbanks, great golf courses and great restaurants. Karen and George are the world's most welcoming hosts. We look forward to many future visits!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I had a wonderful stay here with Karen and George as our hosts at the Runaway Rooster. Beautiful property with an awesome fire pit for a nice evening wind down. Breakfasts were absolutely fantastic and the overwhelming amount of breweries and wineries in the area was simplified by Karen as she provided us with a map and route to hit all the best ones. 10/10 would totally stay here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I cannot state how wonderful of a stay my husband and I had at Runaway Rooster! Apart from the fact that the location is un-beatable (Bloomfield was perfectly curated and picturesque, as well as only 10-15 minutes from all the hot-spots like Wellington, Picton, The Sand Dunes and vineyards), the Runaway Rooster was immaculately clean and cozy and Karen and George are the ultimate, ultimate hosts! They were warm and welcoming right from the start and they know the County inside and out. The breakfasts included in our stay were generous, delicious and restaurant quality. We loved the fact that we were able to walk 2 minutes to one of our dinner reservations at Flame & Smith (Highly recommend!), as well as go for a morning jog on the Millennium Trail. Thank you Karen and George for taking us in on such short notice. Thank you for being such good company and for steering us in all the right directions! If we could give 10 stars we would!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A real gem in the heart of Bloomfield. Located minutes from restaurants (you can walk to Flame and Smith), one-off locally owned stores and other must see places. The Runaway is a charming, impeccably maintained B&B run by the owners Karen and George who provide fantastic breakfasts (every day was a different treasure trove of tastes), great conversation at your option, and graciously help you navigate around the very best of The County. They have a lovely and spacious property filled with beautiful furniture, plants and an assortment of collectables which combine to create a very classy yet extremely comfortable atmosphere. This was our first visit to this area and thanks to Karen and George, we had a fabulous time.
We stayed here for three nights and will definitely return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a lovely time at Runaway Rooster. Our room was perfect: cozy and very clean with a comfortable bed and pillows to match. The garden is a lovely space to enjoy, with whimsical artifacts. Also lovely are the outdoor sitting areas. At night, the great room was perfect to sit in and read or watch TV on super comfy couches. Karen and George were gracious and welcoming, gave us excellent suggestions for our exploration of P.E.C. and served us delicious breakfasts. We highly recommend this property when visiting Prince Edward County.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our stay at the guest cottage at the Runaway Rooster was wonderful! The cottage was beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, quiet and very comfortable! Karen and George were great hosts - very friendly and knowledgable about the County and attentive to any needs. We would definitely stay here again and look forward to our next visit!
