Unreal experience. Def not cheap, but the hallmark of a quality restaurant is not being able to duplicate what your getting. This place is miles better than what you can make at home, regardless of cost.

Absolutely loved this restaurant. It has such a romantic atmosphere but still a place for big groups I would say. We went here with our two friends and had the most wonderful time with our delicious fresh oysters, and their fabulous sea bass that I absolutely cannot get over. I’m not a fan of their beef carpaccio but I will definitely be coming back for that sea bass and to try their aged beefs.

We really wanted to like Flame + Smith, but our experience could be summarized as fine at best. Since they weren’t taking reservations, we popped in Friday to ask about when we should come on Saturday to ensure we avoid a lengthy wait. The woman we spoke to confidently stated that as along as we arrived between 4-5pm, we’d walk right in. We adjusted our day Saturday to ensure we would be there by 5pm. We arrived at 4:50pm Saturday and there were a few people in line in front of us, plus many with cocktails in their waiting area. Once we spoke to the hostess, we were informed a table for 2 would not be available until 7:30/7:45. Since we prefer a later dinner, this wasn’t the end of the world, but frustrating after checking in the previous night and then still having almost a 3 hour wait for a table. The hostess really put us off with her tone and didn’t give us high expectations for the evening, but there are limited other options in the county later in the evening so we decided we would wait. Thankfully we were staying nearby so we could kill time there. Overall, the service was pretty weak, pacing was off and it appeared that most of the staff were overwhelmed. The food was mostly good, though we ordered a tomahawk steak and it was pretty rare - maybe our fault for not asking how they prepare it. The seafood platter was a nice start to our meal and Icelandic cod was fabulous. We left full, but pretty disappointed and would not recommend to others based on our experience.

Amazing food and ambiance. The oysters and the Icelandic Arctic char were delightful. Great drinks/cocktail menu. Service was impeccable. We’ll definitely be back soon.

Brought my family here for the chefs menu, and it was super delicious! Great and fast service from the waiting staff as well. The interior of the restaurant was very warm and welcoming. Some of our favourite dishes were the beef carpaccio (a perfect appetizer, savoury and light) and the warm almond cake with sherry cream and plums. Make sure to give them at least 2 week notice to get a reservation for a large group (6+ people)! We were fortunate enough to get in with less notice but the restaurant was packed the entire night.

Great experience! Unpretentious food-focused fine dining with first class service. If you’re visiting for the first time, relinquish control and ask for the chef’s menu! We’ll be back :)

The experience here is spectacular. It is one of those restaurants that while the food is great, the experience is what makes it. If you feel adventurous, I highly recommend the chef's pick. Basically you just let the chef plan a 4 course meal for you. Not only is it a surprise for every course, I tried a lot of dishes I would've never ordered myself. The main menu is great too but the chef's pick is truly a special experience. The service here is top notch. We had a dish that we didn't like from the chef's picks and we were totally ok knowing we tried something new and just didn't like it. However, the chef decided to send us a replacement plate without us asking or even expecting it! It's those little things that makes all the difference in a dining experience. Ambience is great. The cost is on the higher end of dining but worth it for the splurge. I understand why everyone highly recommends this place!!

My partner and I dined at Flame + Smith on Saturday for a belated birthday celebration. We ordered oysters as an appetizer and we would recommend the French kiss as they were awesome. We ordered as our main the steak and were able to sub it with salad, and we also ordered the escargot and a side of fries. Everything was perfect, and the steak was perhaps the best steak that we have ever had in our lives. We also ordered one non-alcoholic drink and one alcoholic drink and their gin and tonics were just perfect! We had a great waitress named Kim who guided us in our selections and the awesome manager of the restaurant gave us fabulous recommendations to go to after dinner. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. If you are ever coming to Prince Edward County, I would highly recommend Flame + Smith
