I had a very negative experience with the company. Don't trust what they say over the phone! I needed to have my blinds re-strung and called Ruffell and Brown to see if they offered that service. After a detailed conversation on the phone I was told that they could absolutely repair my blinds and to bring them by their shop on Monday. I booked time off work to go, organized a vehicle (as I don’t own one) and upon arriving was told that they don’t provide that service, that I should just buy new blinds, and left with little information and no solution. Very bad experience. Don’t trust them.

The reason we are rating this company 2/5 stars is we are happy with the blinds after they finally got installed but the process was a total headache. Starting with installation, our first installer Bill made a very cringey and inappropriate comment while getting into our condo elevator with my partner. She was alone with him, mask on and he asked β€œdo you want me to wear my mask?” And she replied β€œit’s okay, it’s a short elevator ride” and he then replied β€œokay, I promise not to kiss you.” This made her very uncomfortable being they were heading up to the condo alone. Shortly after attempting to install 2/3 blinds they did not fit properly as they were NOT measured correctly by the lady who came out to quote and measure them. She had to take time off work to be there for the installation as they couldn’t accommodate our days off (Sundays and Mondays). He installed the 1 set of blinds and took the other 2 to be resized. A couple weeks later, we had a different installer come by with the remaining 2 blinds and he was very professional, quick and did a great job. But that being said, I will NEVER order from this company again or EVER recommend them to anybody because of their lack of professionalism and customer service.

Janine was very helpful in guiding us through the selection of the window coverings for our new home. This included narrowing down the vast selection of fabrics and finishing, selecting the type of window coverings that would meet our families needs. Janine was very responsive and customer oriented and a pleasure to do business with.

Terrible product, no quality control, poor customer service. Disappointed all around. Process took 5 months in total. Blinds arrived in the wrong size for one window & damaged for the other. Valences were the wrong colour for one of the blinds. First installer had dirty hands - fingerprints on the blinds and the walls. Cords cut improperly. Second attempt, blinds were the right size but the visible mechanisms were the wrong colour. Third installation attempt had to be made to fix everything. 2nd installer was friendly and did his best. Not a surprise, the salesperson passed us off to someone else. While it appeared to be that person's job to deal with issues she didn't seem to care much, glossed over the problems and blamed it on the manufacturer. Zero follow up from anyone once the job was complete and they took the full remaining balance off my credit card. 10% off for the 3 times I had to be at home for the installs would have gone a long way. Would not recommend this business.

Janine came to the house and helped me decide on the type and colour. She was great. Very honest with her opinions and clear on my options. She explained how each type of blind would look and work on the windows. Fabulous customer service from beginning to end.
