Roziere Blaikie Counselling

Robin relocated from Vancouver to Brandon in 2002 to pursue her degree in Psychiatric Nursing at Brandon University.  Raised by a mother who was also a Psychiatric Nurse, Robin's passion for the field of mental health developed throughout her adolescence and into her adult years with her mother's guidance and encouragement.  Since graduating from the Psychiatric Nursing program in 2008, Robin has worked as a clinician with many different populations and needs within the community, including the Centre for Adult Psychiatry, Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit, Mobile Crisis Unit, Child and Adolescent Crisis Stabilization Unit, as a Community Mental Health Worker and ADHD Clinic Nurse at the Child and Adolescent Treatment Centre.  More recently, Robin has been providing counselling support at Brandon's new youth hub, "Huddle".

Robin has continued to develop her skill set, taking specialized training in the following areas: Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Violence/Threat Risk Assessment (VTRA), High Fidelity Wraparound Program, Addictions, Cultural competence, Indigenous Canada (University of Alberta), Children's Grief and Bereavement, ADHD over the lifespan; including  coaching, advocacy, and parenting from an ADHD lens, Triple P Parenting Program, and Active Parenting of Teens Program.

Robin feels privileged to work with people of diverse ages and backgrounds who are experiencing a wide variety of challenges in life.   Robin offers warm, compassionate and professional care with a client-centered approach and looks forward to helping clients create meaningful and positive changes to meet their wellness goals.
