Emerging Hope Counseling Services - Brandon

My name is Sara Haynes, I am therapist providing services for individuals, relationships, and families.  My main focus is on communication, intimacy, sex and sexuality.  After recently moving back to Canada from almost 20 years living in the United States, I opened my private practice here in Brandon in the Fall of 2019.  I am so excited to be offering my services to individuals, families, couples, and those in all types of relationships in the Brandon and Westman area!

A little background about my education and credentials. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with additional focus on Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Northern Colorado in Denver.  In the United States, I am a Nationally Certified Counselor through the National Board of Counselors.  I still hold credentials as a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate working towards full licensure in Colorado.  

Here in Canada, I am a Certified Canadian Counselor through the Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and I am working towards becoming a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist through the Canadian Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).  I have additional specialized training in the Gottman Method through the Gottman Institute (I currently have all 3 levels of training ) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) through ICEEFT.
