★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful little trail just outside of Courtney which is worth stopping at because it gives you a fun little track behind some fabulous seaside houses in the forest as well as opening up into the beach and flat plains of the ocean. Nice view of sailboats going by and a beautiful blue sky with puffy clouds kind of day.
do keep an eye out on the highway for the turn off which is hard to find. Use Google to navigate if you need too!

In the vehicle with a special someone or walking along the seaside trails is also a great pastime

There is good signage to give historic perspective as to how and why the area developed as it did as well as information on current reclamation efforts.
The trail is fairly easy. Going out onto the beach areas at low tide you need to be a little more aware of your footing.
There are numerous places to stop and rest.
