Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) - Hope

it's fun. and small. and deep.. and sad.

Great to see two RCMP cruisers, visible, doing Speed Enforcement on the Coquihalla Highway. A tough job for anyone to have, when speed limits seem to be more of a suggestion, than fact. Not sure the cruiser detachment, but "Good Job", slowing down things and perhaps, preventing an incident. I am honored to be able to write this, my 561st review for them. Thanks

Female Corporal Jackie Remple, and two men Janzen, and Lakustra apprehended me violently under the mental health act after I called the police to do a mental health check on my mother. Since the incident I have been informed Janzen, the main aggressor no longer works at this detachment. Remple, left my son unattended for HOURS while my neighbours graciously watched him. After I was medically cleared; Remple seemed distraught as she refused to let me call a social worker or lawyer and had AGAIN violently taken my phone away. I am disgusted with the way I was treated and the fact that she is the second highest ranking cop in Hope when she did not even follow basic protocols to keep my son safe. She also took my brand new puppy and did not inform me or anyone else as well as social workers where I was going or what was happening. Proceeding this incident on April 22, on Sunday May the 1 this lady Remple: approached me at 7/11 while she was off duty to try and sabotage what she was assuming was the sale of my own puppy. While all this was happening her husband sat in the front seat of his truck video taping me while their grandson was in the backseat. She is not someone I think belongs in this small community and she definitely does not deserve the power that comes with her badge. This woman does not have the knowledge to work in her position if she thinks it’s okay to leave my child unattended due to her own personal feelings. I have told her she needs to call social workers and she actually laughs and thinks it’s funny. I feel bad for anyone who has to work with this woman as she will blame you for her mistakes in order to get a promotion. She keeps her name off all the paperwork and sits there making bad decisions, giving both Janzen and Lakustra trouble and then directly them to forcibly apprehend me after she gave them a stern talking to. This police detachment has some really good officers. Part of me even feels bad for Janzen because it’s obvious all he is is Remples skapegoat.
