About Roughley Originals Photography

We’re a team in every aspect of the word. We’re married, we’re raising two amazing boys, and we both work full time in this crazy photography biz.

We’ve been through the wedding. We remember the planning and the stresses and the uncertainty of every detail very, very well. We’ve got your back. We made our home in Edmonton, Alberta but we want to see as much of the world as we can. We’re always up for an adventure, so don’t be shy about asking us to travel! Twist our arms and chances are we’ll be there.

This English guy and this Canadian girl have traveled the world – in fact we met in Australia!

We’re parents now. Guys – we REMEMBER those uncertain first few days. Newborns are the most amazing and the most terrifying things you will ever hold in your arms. But after two kids and countless newborn shoots, trust me I still feel like they are – HANDS DOWN – the best.

We’re a team now, the four of us. Callum and Max are pretty rad little boys. If you’re ever over to the studio, chances are you’ll meet them.

I was so grateful for the way in which they were patient and creative with our toddler. They made something that I was originally anxious about, (trying to get her to sit still and smile), actually fun! Also, watching them position and work with my newborn was amazing...they were so gentle and skillful about the way they cared for him during the experience. Shauna and Gareth were professional and quick to respond to emails in the follow up. Most importantly though, our photos turned out beautifully. They captured our precious littles and our family in a way that I'm so grateful to have for the future.

They also dedicate a lot of time to each shoot, we never felt rushed despite having to stop several times to feed and deal with the baby. And of course they take great photos!

They are incredibly friendly and kind all while being very professional. We first used Roughley Originals for maternity photos with our first daughter and were impressed with the session itself and of course the final product of beautiful photos capturing this special time of our lives. We have since used them for her newborn photos, family photos (including a fun pregnancy announcement!), and our second daughter's maternity and newborn photos!
