★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place visit. There is no lake on Canadian side. No phone reception. Actually walked south of border looking for lake for an hour. Could not find a lake. Lake disappeared. Road here is s very bumpy. Google maps shows road as smooth, it is not. Border is not patrolled here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Road up is a long stretch with a ton of potholes(made a non-issue with the right vehicle), not very populated, lovely, quiet spots by the water. Definitely higher water levels than other years, apparently, when you can walk across dry water beds. Great view of Can. and U.S. mtn. ranges in a calm environment- made even better by an unexpectedly warm and sunny day! Four stars only for the potholes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is hidden gem. Its not remote as it looks on map. Be aware that there is absolutely no cellphone network. Cell reception slowly fades away after hwy1 exit hence bringing walkie talkie is good option. Area is exactly on US-Canada international boundary . Access to US side is permitted for almost 5 KM without any passport or visa requirement.
Very serene, quite place with nice natural setting.
Lake has beautiful natural setting. Perfect Valley , small island, snow peaks. Has a kids play area.
Deers are pretty common in the area.
