Fantastic way to spend an afternoon in Sooke. Our spot wasnt easy to get to with a baby stroller but once we were settled, we found a safe spot that was more sand than rock. My 3.5 year old had a blast playing in the waves and digging in the sand. There was also a playground nearby as well as washrooms. We visited this beach in mid April and it was quiet.

Just a handful of people here during the Thanksgiving weekend. Very peaceful and we thoroughly enjoyed the drive here. Love day trips and joyrides to new places. Definitely coming back here again and I highly recommend this place for a beautiful view here and along the drive getting here. Not a cloud in the sky when we came and the sun was shining, reflecting off the water like a mirror. Saw a few crabs and fish while the kids tossed rocks at the surf, great place to unwind and relax, perhaps have a picnic ?. Loads of places to chill and eat, at least 4 portable toilets that we saw, playground for the kids. The hill back up can seem unusually steep so keep an eye on the older folks please..

Highly accessible campground only 1hr20min from Victoria (provided no road construction). Minimal amenities like drinking water and pit toilets. Fairly quiet other than the murder of crows announcing unattended food and new site vacantcies. Fun large play area near the beach. Dogs (supposed to be) on leash. No Canadian cellular reception (warning: jumps to AT&T or TMobile across the strait for roaming charges). Smooth stone beach with cold ocean water (52-54*F / 10-12*C) year round. Tide charts provided in day parking lot. Would be a great place to go storm watch. Southern campsites hear the ocean waves while the northern sites can hear the occasional truck on the highway. I'd definitely go again.

Great campground with easy access to beach. Wonderful place to camp and explore the lower west coast of Vancouver Island.

Well worth the drive to visit this beach. Interesting fact: my cell phone told me I was no longer in Canada while I was here.

A super lovely family camping park. Highly recommend for those who just want to explore the Juan de Fuca area but aren't ready for big hikes. Beautiful night sky in the summer.

Great park with a campground, playground, day use area with picnic tables and fire pits, and an awesome beach. There is ample parking. There are washroom facilities available here also. Lots of green spaces and some trails. We had a great time here and I would definitely come back again. It’s a bit of a trip from the Victoria area but well worth the drive.

Absolutely beautiful stop! I didn't want to leave. My breath was taken away as I saw on the gravel beach to watch the waves crash on the shore. A little ways back there was a bridge that took you into another world of green grass and tall trees. I could spend all day here just wandering the ground!
