In August 2016, we took our vehicle in for a complete brake replacement. We took the car in early in the morning (8 AM) and they kept the car overnight. We found this unusual as we were given the impression that the car would be ready by early afternoon but didn't think anything of it at the time. We get a call the next morning from Ross & Joe's saying that the car is ready for pick-up. We go there to pick up the car. The have a funny look on their faces and being evasive with their eye contact. They tell us, "When you come back for your next oil change, we'll have a look at the brakes again. There's a 3 year warranty". We just had a funny gut feeling during the pick-up of our vehicle. We had a suspicion that they maybe broke something during the brake replacement, but because we never had problems with their work before, we dismiss our feelings. On the road home, our suspicions are confirmed. We hear a terrible clunking sound coming from the front of the car that wasn't there when we brought the car in for the brake replacement. We give them a call and tell them about the loud clunking we hear when we drive. They tell us to come back and they will have a look; they put the car up on the hoist, check underneath, check the brakes again and say they see nothing hanging or loose from underneath the car or anything that would be making that sound. The clunking sound appears intermittently over a two-month period. It gets really bad this past week; we give them a call again, thinking it's the brake work. We tell them about a loud clunking that we hear frequently underneath the car. They say they will look at the brakes. We take it in -- they inspect and adjust the brakes and say they don't see anything loose underneath the car. We go home and the clunking turns up again. We call them back and say that the clunking is still there and sounds real bad. Now the owner, Ross Alampi, is getting agitated and trying to brush us off. We decide to take the car in to another garage as we feel that Ross is not being honest with us. The new garage takes the car on a test drive to see if he can figure out what the clunking sound is. After the test drive, the mechanic puts the car onto the hoist and sees what's been causing the loud banging -- the metal housing on the car alarm was broken causing the car alarm horn to dangle by its wiring in the engine compartment. This was what was causing the loud clunking whenever we drove the sound. How is it that this new garage was able to see the dangling car alarm but not Ross and Joe's? We believe that Ross and Joe's knew about this damage but refused to acknowledge it and were playing dumb with us. Because of this dishonesty, we can never give these people our business again. If they would have just admitted to the damage and offered to fix it, we would have felt better and continued to give them business. But because of their dishonesty and refusing to acknowledge the damage, we cannot trust them anymore. If they weren't willing to fess up to minor damage, we don't believe they would fess up to something more major.

Ross is great mechanic. He has been doing this work since he was a boy. Ross is fare priced and always stands behind his work. I gone there and see like the whole shop full of cars and him and a helper do all the work man. Ive had to take my car back to many mechanics who’ve been doing work a long time too. I had to take my car back once to Ross and he readjusted the brakes and it was fixed. Everyone is human and we can all have a bad day. This was a minor issue but he looked and fixed right away. He always give me good advice and be honest.

Great place for old cars and electrical wiring stuff. Knew this was the right place for me when I saw my 80's style car on the vintage yellowing/aged business card, and the cherry was when Ross showed me the battery draw pattern on a tiny alligator clippy light bulb that he set up in series right after my battery, it went on at very low brightness every 30 seconds to keep the on board clock time tracking while the car was off. Great knowledge, very helpful!

If your looking for an "honest mechanic" look no further This guy really knows his stuff. Such a nice man when he answers the phone. A legit owner operator. I bet when this place first opened up it was filled with muscle cars. Very good and very fair priced mechanic.
