I never thought I'd be able to make better dumplings than the one's I'd get from my favourite restaurants. From prep to plating, you remained patient and thoughtful - you are very passionate about teaching people how to cook. I can't wait to learn more from you!

What a unique and engaging opportunity to learn something new, expand budding culinary skills and celebrate with friends! Communication through booking was clear, fast and detail oriented Which I appreciated. And our assigned Chef (Carm) was incredibly knowledgeable, energetic and and engaging. I can’t believe how delicious and professional the girls sushi turned out at the end of the session. My daughter was hesitant to have a virtual party as she is like most kids in Ontario exhausted by screen time and zoom meets. But she’s so thrilled I encouraged this party as it exceeded our expectations!

She went into the camp feeling pretty lukewarm about cooking, and came out of it 5 days later calling herself a ‘Chef’ and asking to be enrolled again next summer for at least double the time! She has already started cooking at home, and wearing her snazzy Rooks to Cooks Chef’s jacket while she does it :-) She learned a ton, and had loads of fun doing it. With cooking being a basic life skill for anyone keen on staying healthy, I’m thrilled that Rooks to Cooks has helped spark this excitement in my daughter. And the skills around time management, organization, and cooperation with others that are also honed through the camp, are a fantastic bonus. Chef Shai, the owner of Rooks, is a true inspiration — a big thank you to you, Chef Shai, for offering this amazingly rich & fun educational experience for our kids!!!

Real chefs teach your child how to create impressive - and delicious - recipes that strike the right balance between challenging and fun. My son has made a chocolate Yule Log and Candy Canes (who knew we could actually make these at home!) as well as fancy Sugar Cookies with royal icing, and is so proud of himself. Of course some parental supervision is required in the kitchen but this makes for a wonderful, memorable experience together. If you’re looking for a virtual class to not only keep kids busy and entertained, but also teach a useful life skill, I can highly recommend Rooks to Cooks.

She learned so much in this really well-organized camp. She still has her Rooks to Cooks recipe book handy and on a weekly basis, makes some of the most impressive, delicious meals for her family and friends. She's looking forward to learning more techniques and recipes in the Rooks to Cooks camp next year. Thank you chefs!

The classes were well organized, the recipes were delicious, and the prep was easy to follow. Chef Dharma is so kind and helpful; she makes complicated tasks easy to understand and can easily fix mistakes. You can tell she is a seasoned pastry chef. Her classes were a lot of fun, perfect for kids who may not be into the regular after-school offerings. Our weekly class was definitely a highlight of the week, and our neighbors loved all the treats we had to share!

One of the essential skills kids need in life and Rooks to Cooks offers an awesome platform for them to explore creating in the kitchen. It gives them a sense of accomplishment that and builds confidence as well. The team is fantastic and very helpful. Instructions and shopping lists are provided in advance of classes. Recipes are fantastic as well. They also offer vegetarian and vegan options to every recipe. I’m hooked on Rooks to Cooks!!!!
