Ronald McDonald House Charities South Central Ontario

What an amazing place! This house is truly a blessing to parents with children or new babies that are unable to leave the hospital. For a nominal nightly fee, everything from breakfast to dinner is taken care of, lifting a huge weight off of the shoulders of these parents who are going through the stresses of having a child in the hospital far from home.

I researched this place a high school project and was blow away by all the stuff u guys do keep up

The staff and volunteers are amazing. The house is clean and comfortable. It is almost better then a home away from home. There is much love and support from even other families that stay there. Moreover the chef is a tremendous cook and the food was to die for.

An amazing place to stay! So welcoming and just beautiful. It's amazing that this place even exists. It means so much to us to have this wonderful room and amazing, I mean amazing food available as we go through a very tough time with our 2 year old daughter at McMaster hospital. Thank-you so much, you don't know how much this means to us.

Man, this place is so cool. Say what you will about McDonald's the restaurant, but Ronald McDonald houses are such a blessing! Being able to come here during one of the dark hours of your life and having people serve you is such ray of sunshine and hope. My daughter loved the HUGE stuffed animal in the hallway. I loved the cookies some volunteers had made for us. Thanks Ronald McDonald house and volunteers! We hope we never have to come back, but my family was so grateful to be loved so well during our few nights stay while our son battled a nasty infection at McMaster. Such a refreshing place for mind and soul. Thank you!!

Our experience here was always a good one. I stayed here on multiple occasions and everyone was always happy and helpful. The facility is mostly run by volunteers and they really treat you like its your second home. Beautiful building, different sized rooms, and many common areas throughout. Decent food, great cooking area, with fridge, pantry , and freezer storage. So greatful to have this offered to us.

RMH is one of the most amazing places in the world, that you hope you never have to visit. We would have been lost without this place during our daughters stay in McMaster Children's hospital after her surgery to correct her spinal abnormality. We stayed just a week, but there are many whom have to stay for months away from their families. It's not easy being away from home, especially during such a trying time in your lives... a sick child or one recovering from life altering surgeries... but this place takes all the thought out of your daily needs so that you are able to focus on your childs recovery and well being. They literally have thought of everything so you don't have to. If by chance you had forgotten something in your rush to get to the hospital, fret not... they have you covered. They ensure that you are always fed healthy foods, have access to snacks and fruits at all times, if you'd like to cook/prepare your own meals you have that option as well, and you get to prepare those meal sc in the very same kitchen that is shown in the commercial! In fact... that commercial was filmed at this very location! They host activity and craft days for any children that may be accompanying you during your stay, there is a small theatre down on the recreational floor, as well as a modest gym and games room to occupy your mind during the stressful times during your stay. Its very much your home away from home, while you're unable to be home. I dont know what we would have done without RMH and their wonderful staff. Always someone available to sit and listen if you need to vent or just preoccupy yourself, always a smiling face to greet you when you leave in the mornings/afternoons/evenings... even in the middle of the night. There is always someone around if you need to talk. I pray you never need to make use of their services... but if you ever do have the need... rest assured, you and your family are in the best of hands here and the staff will take amazing care of you and yours during your stay with them.

Me and my wife just spent a week here when our daughter was in the nicu. The staff are all very helpful and knowledgeable. Also many families are there and we all generally had a good time even when you might not feel the greatest cause the situation you are in with your children. I'm just greatly thankful for a place like this helps you feel at home when you are not. I just want to thank everyone I met and all the staff that helped make the stay enjoyable.
