Went into the Rona on Mcgauhey today, with the new flyer in hand, i saw some stocking stuffer's I thought I would pick up. To my dismay, this store not only is not honoring the items in the sale flyer, neither is the other Rona in town, they say they do not have product in their warehouse and will not honor a rain check for these items. What it the point of bothering with these stores any more? They are slated to be closed, and it is of no wonder why. I remember years back when they were worth shopping in, however those days are long gone. What a waste of time.

so, where to start. well, the front counter people are pleasant. the woman smiled, said hello to me when I walked in. that's about as far as the positive customer experience gets there. I walked to the back where there's the customer(care less) area. 3 fellows sitting round, chit chatting. did anyone speak to the customer that had just walked up? no. they looked at me, that was about as far as it went. so, I started wandering. found a fellow who was, unfortunately, helping someone else out. I merely asked what aisle the foam board insulation was in. and was given.....the wrong directions. apparently, they're all hiding someplace in the paint department. so, I wander around a bit more, then go back to the desk to see if someone MIGHT be able to help. and see the same person who sent me in the wrong direction. so, I stand there for 5 minutes or so, he's apparently doing some stock inputting. but, he never said a word. glanced at me, and went back to ignoring me. so, I left. the woman on the way out said have a great day, did I find what I was looking for. I said no, but I did get something....what was that she asked. extremely poor customer service. so, I promptly drove over to Home Depot, found someone who was more than willing to help me, bought my product and got a "thanks for shopping with us" on my way out. definitely will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

Great supplies and fast service. My husband knows all the employee's and visits often to purchase supplies for renovations on our multiple establishments. one worker is odd and terrible though, I asked the young man and his name was Jayden I think. In turn He asked me if I was a "M-I-L-F" to which I was at the time unsure what that was. Fast forward I'm home, googling the term "M-I-L-F". I am equally flattered as I am uncomfortable.

This company does not offer full refunds on the deposit for their large white 1 yard bags for soil and aggregate purchaces. This is unfortunate as the cleck behind the desk never informed me, as it is a pita to save them. At 5 dollars i would have cut them. In addition they refuse to give cash back on these. I hope this information can help anyone in the future regarding their purchase of this product.

Horrible customer service! Called twice for pricing on building materials and sat on hold for 20 mins both times and still did not get to talk to anyone!

We spent a couple of hours with Chantelle one Saturday, having questions answered regarding a walk in shower. She was a wealth of information and sent us home with some of our own research. The following weekend, we spent an hour and a half placing our order and ensuring we were getting all our materials with Evan. Best shopping experience we have had in a long time. Rona was able to provide us with exactly the finishing products we wanted. The big box store was making us compromise. Thank you Rona on McGaughey

This is the better Rona in North Bay. Selection is limited but the staff have been friendly. I believe it’s one of the last independently owned Rona’s so we try and support it whenever we can. A lot of the best deals on the flyer aren’t available here unfortunately.
