Do NOT I reaper at DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM this store! My mother purchased two day time outfits for mine and my brothers wedding. My mother spent over $1500 in total and they said they would include the alterations given the amount of money we spent. Closer to the wedding dates when they told us to call For over two weeks between my mother and I we called daily to confirm if the outfits were in the store to be tried on for alterations. Everytime we called they said they would call us back because the owner had the information and they cannot look into it. I'm sorry if the owner was out of the country for one month how would you deal with your customers? Tell them to wait! To this day I don't understand why the person who kept answering the phone couldn't help us. They said she would call back and never called back. Then I completely lost it on them and then she finally said "okay they will be here Friday". I'm sorry you didn't even look at the invoice or check your systems so how did you suddenly know when they will be in. My mother Ended up going to get the dresses and needed alterations and she said they did alter both dresses. I told my mother I wasted to be there when we pick them up. We go pick up the dresses (I had to work from home that day because the owner "wanted to be there when she tried on the dresses") so I had to go based on HER schedule. They told me alterations and steaming were done and to pick them up. I called the morning of when they opened at 9 amd said I was coming at 10 instead of 1030 cause I cannot waste more time cause I'm working. As soon as I walked in the owner gave ME CRAP because I was 30 minutes early and SHE had to rush in. Really? That's what you call professional as a store owner? Then my mom tries on the dresses and NOT one thing was done. For both dresses The top sections were still massive and the bottom of the dresses were not hemmed. They tried to convince me they were hemmed but they looked the exact same length as my mother pointed out. The jackets as part of the two outfits were too big and they again tried to convince me it's a "bolero" style. NO. NOT WHEN THE SEAM IS PASTTTTTT HER SHOULDERS!!! So they starting altering AGAIN and said to come in Wednesday. We went in today September 21 2016 and the shoulders that were altered on one of the dresses was completely off and they still refused to fix the jackets! And why you ask? Because they said they were not gonna charge my mom alterations, put a note on the invoice and then didn't wanna do the work!! So I called her out on it and the owner had the odacity to talk down to me!! A person who owns a company and is based on "referrals " that's how you keep business ? That's how you talk to people. We took the dresses and left and my mother is getting the jackets fixed elsewhere. I have FOUR girlfriends getting married in 2016 and 2017 and I will make a point to tell their mothers AND future in laws NOT TO GO HERE!!! My mother purchased her two evening outfits at Michael luisi and the service was impeccable compared to this trashy store. If you do no believe me please private message me. This is the truth. GO ANYWHERE EXCEPT HERE!!!

SERIOUSLY THE WORST OWNER! To begin we got our deesses from her daughter at bridesmaid bliss, after she ordered us all the wrong sizes (probably on purpose so we’d have to pay more for alt. ) I’m talking like : I’m a size 2 and she got me an 8 not to mention she didn’t even take a measuring tape out once she just guessed. AFTER she closed down we preceded to ROMANTICA to pick up our dresses and alterations. BIG MISTAKE. She double booked our fitting and the style we originally wanted she told us she couldn’t even do it. After 2 hours of pure chaos in the store we go to cash out and she tried to charge 8 bridesmaids 160$ each for half ass alterations!!!! Then once we explained she had promised us cheap alterations since they ordered us all tents to wear she then lowered the price. The owner is a huge pain in the but !! Like literally the worst woman ever !! Has no respect for her clients we weren’t the only people with problems in store that day she also kicked out 2 bridesmaids from a different wedding party for calling her out on her rudeness.

Worst shopping experience EVER. My mother was shopping around for a mother of the bride dress for my sister's wedding, my mother is a petite women and did not want to purchase a long dress. We were told by the sales women that we were not allowed to shop on the side of the store that only displayed short dresses. After becoming visibly upset with the lack of service and quality of service we were approached by a male manager who salvaged the shopping experience by offering her a discount off any dress she loved. After finding a dress she fell in love with the staff explained they would alter her dress accordingly. After waiting two months (Sept-Dec) for the alterations to be complete we got a lovely voicemail saying " This is Romantica, your dress is ready. BYE." they did not explain if she needed another fittings etc, She picked the dress up only to bring it home to discover that the alterations were nothing to her size and pins still holding the straps un sewn to her dress. The front of the dress was also not sewn properly as I could fit my hands underneath the bust. She brought the dress back to let them know the dress was incomplete and did not fit her, they proceeded on the sales floor while customers were shopping to announce that it was my mothers fault that the dress did not fit because she was "fat" and began to yell and raise their voices at my mother and I. They continued to make inappropriate weight comments to the point that my mother was on the sales floor crying. If we did not make a scene this company was not about to fix the dress for my mother because they claimed she gained weight. This was the most disgusting experience we've ever been through, what company allows their sales associates to degrade their customers, without customers ROMANTICA would be NOTHING!!!. Please do not shop at this store, if you do make sure to take pictures and do not believe a word they say !!!!!!

Horrible experience like everyone else!!! I bought a dress for my sister in laws wedding and was told to bring it back for alterations closer to the wedding date with the cups that I need sewn on that will take seconds to do when I pick up the dress. I took the dress for alterations the day it was suggested and was told to come back 2 weeks later on a specified date. I get there to pick it up and NOTHING was done to the dress!!!! To cover up their mess they kept saying "we close at 8" so they have till that time to do it. I've never seen a dress left to the last second of pick up! Why was it sitting there for 2 weeks! When I called a week ago I was told they started on it already...LIE! The poor excuse of a business owner gave me attitude and he didn't care at all to please an upset customer and when I commented that he's an owner and hasn't once apologized for his mistake, he continues to be sarcastic and acting like he did nothing wrong and could careless for my business. He was so rude! I attempted to talk to the seamstress working on my alterations to explain how I want my cups sewn on, the owner comes and stands in front of me like a body guard who's about to hit me and told me not to talk to his girls. I paid for my dress, I have every right to tell her what I want done to it. I don't know who he thinks he is. I left crying and so angry with everything they did to me. This is besides the 3 times before that I had the change room door open wide on me while I was topless trying on a dress...again not one apology! Poor, horrible, unprofessional service, they don't care at all. And honestly it's more like Romantica Day Care, I was ignored and waited so long to get help while they were playing with and took their kids out for a walk...?! Really! Never again.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR. Mortifying customer service...if you can even call it service. I had my aunt and grandmother drive all the way from Michigan to try on dresses for an up coming wedding. They made the trip because the store online described that they had a dress my aunt was interested in. My aunt called the store to find out the store didn’t actually carry the dress, although they advertised it online. Needless to say, the woman on the phone convinced my aunt the dress she was interested in was outdated and they had newer better models from the same designer in stock... so we made the trip anyways. The selection in my option was outdated, but we looked through the racks anyways. I found three dresses I wanted to try but one was a size or 2, too small. I had the dresses in my hand and the sales lady took the dresses and put the smaller dress away saying it wouldn’t fit me. Totally unprofessional, I’m not even a heavy girl and the dress ran large. Conceding to her comment, I assured her that I wasn’t going to put it on, that I just wanted to press it up against my body to see if I thought the style would flatter me and if it did I would consider other options in a similar style. She still refused to let me even hold the dress and put it back on the rack and said she can’t order it in my size so there’s no use in considering it. EXCUSE ME?! I’m a size 10 btw. The dress was either an 8 or 6 and it looked like it ran large. I was mortified at the behavior and level of unprofessionalism. I didn’t bother trying on the other two dresses and just took my aunt and grandmother and walked out. Who trains these people? Are you actually trying to sell your merchandise or just insult people? It was a colossal waste of time and I would give zero stars if I could. They lost 3 customers that day, and if you’re reading this review I hope you save yourself the headache. The other reviewers aren’t lying when they say this place has some incredibly rude staff. Spend your money somewhere else where they actually value your business.

Very disappointing.. DO NOT shop there!!!! A very disappointing experience. My two daughters were bridesmaids for a January wedding. We were told that the bridesmaids dresses were in before Christmas by the bride. However; because of the far distance we had to travel. I called ahead to make sure the dresses were ready to be picked up. I was told no one could find the dresses and that JP was not in. I was told he would call back in a few days and when I did not hear from him I called back. I was told different stories as to why he did not call back. When I finally heard from him he tried to delay the pick up again. I explained we are travelling about 2 hours to get there and need these dresses as the wedding is quickly approaching. He finally agreed to have the dresses in on a Saturday but I was told that I could only come at a specific time to pick up. When we arrived I was told that the dresses were not there and to come back on Monday, I put my foot down and said NO, that JP promised the dresses would be here. After waiting for about an hour the dresses some how magically appeared. My one daughter's dresses is 2 sizes too big and my other daughter's dress is the sample dress which has yellowed and many of the sequins are falling off. It cost me a fortune to have these dresses altered privately. The boutique is overpriced and terribly unorganized. Service is poor and you DO NOT get what you paid for. Shame on you!!!!

Haven’t shopped there in years because of the horrible customer service. They have been around for so many years and not sure how!? When I got married we bought my sisters dress there, she was my maid of honour. It didn’t end up coming in and they weren’t accommodating at all! Had to dress shop for a new dress a few days before the wedding... so stressful.

Incredibly rude staff and management that turned a happy occasion into an awful experience; no dress is worth the aggravation, stress and verbal abuse I experienced in this store. I bought 2 dresses from this store for 2 weddings this coming summer. I love the one dress I bought but changed my mind on the second one. Upon closer examination of the dress, it actually appeared to have been previously hemmed, the tag was falling off and a hook was missing. The receipt specifies "exchange only within 10 days". When I called 3 days later asking if I could exchange the dress, the owner raised her voice telling me I should not have let the opinions of others influence my decision to purchase the dress if I did not like it and that it was a final sale because it was on sale. I pointed out that I was never told it was final sale, nor is it specified on the receipt. She rudely said she would have to speak to her son, who she claims is the owner, and call me back if he would allow it. When I had not heard back by late afternoon, I called again to find out what was going on because I would have to travel from out of town to return the dress. The manager told me the owner was not in, even though I could hear her in the background, and tried, again, to explain the supposed store policy. Again, I pointed out that the receipt said exchanges were allowed. I said I wanted to exchange it for an even more expensive, full price dress in the store; they would actually be making more money and I would be happy.....win-win. The owner then grabbed the phone from her and literally yelled at me as if she had lost her patience with an unruly child; she told me to stop calling and bothering her, there would be no exchange and she hung up! I finally spoke to her son, the apparent owner of the store and told him I had changed my mind about a dress I bought. He immediately said they did not do refunds but did do exchanges. She obviously had not told him anything about the situation; she just planned to make him the invisible "bad guy". I told him about my experience—his mother's refusal to exchange the dress, her rudeness on the phone, the manager who was incapable of diffusing a situation even when presented with a win-win solution. He was apologetic and said he would talk to his mother. When he called me back the next day, he said he could not understand why she was being so difficult nor why she was making such a big deal about exchanging the dress, especially since I was actually willing to pay for an even more expensive dress......It just didn't make any sense; apparently, she sometimes just "gets in these moods". He recognized that this was unfair and not how she should run her business but he really did not want to deal with her either. He suggested I go back and try to reason with her. Overall this was an incredibly unprofessional and extremely stressful experience. The situation became so unbearable, I actually did go back, left the dress in the store and walked away. Again, no dress is worth the aggravation, stress and verbal abuse I experienced in this store. Romantica may carry beautiful dresses but the same dresses can be found in other stores that are staffed by reasonable, professional people who know the meaning of customer service.
