If going continuously uphill for 5ish km sounds like a good time, you'll love this hike! I recommend hitting the falls after the lakes for dessert. A little more popular than most guides are letting on.

I've only ever hiked the short distance (0.7km) to Silverton Falls. It's a super easy hike to the falls and gives you fantastic access to a really awesome waterfall! Perfect hike for kids!

Great little hike. First 5-10 minutes very gentle slope, good for little kids until you get to a little stream (bottom of Silverton Falls). Another 5-7 minutes is a steep switchback. Parts of the trail are across an open slope so would not recommend if very slippery or kids under 6 or so. The falls are quite fast, you can feel the spray and a nice view. There isn't much room at the lookout so large groups would find it difficult.

There are two beautiful lakes with Castle Mountain.

Easy hike to Silverton Falls. You'll have this trail all to yourself. The falls and viewpoint are beautiful!

Nice short hike, a bit slippery on some of the inclines. Would recommend hiking boots and a hiking pole atleast when its snowy out.

We were at Silverton Falls January 9th 2021. The trail to the falls is easy, not slippery, lots of snow. Frozen falls not that fascinating, but definitely worth to walk. The walk itself is short.

Well maintained and very easy trail to follow up to the lake and the view point. The path up to Rockbound Lake is about 8.5 KM and gains about 770 M of elevation one way. It is a gentle slope through the trees up to Tower Lake and then a short steep section to Rockbound. Shortly before Tower Lake the trees thin and you start getting some views. When you are at Tower Lake you are very near to the cliffs of Castle Mountain which makes them look so much higher. After Rockbound Lake there is a trail to a view point. This is a very steep section. The views are definitely worth the effort. We recorded 10.4 KM and 901M of elevation gain to this point. (We continued on to the summit of Castle Mountain) There are many larches in this area and they are bright yellow now.
