I moved in here in July 2014 and wow I love this apartment the people are so nice and the landlord she's amazing! !! She is always there for help or if you need anything she's always there I love the view from my balcony nothing can compete with it :)

This was my experience with board walk and staff. Let me begin with shawna Woycheshyn who was the leasing agent that was helping me. I showed up for my appointment on time she was on the phone talking with someone. After getting off the phone she sent texts and didn’t bother to even say hello after the rep told her I was her appointment she said hi. She showed me a few units which then I liked one and applied put a deposite down. She then called me after the weekend, telling me the promotion we had originally agreed on is no longer available. So she is taking it back but wondering if I still wanted to move forward. She also told me she would get back to me the next day. Which in turn she didn’t then I had to call her as she forgot. Kept saying she would send me the email with the new offer which wasn’t anything. She then became annoyed and rude when I asked for clarifications tell me she doesn’t have time for this and I need to make a decision. She then emails me an offer as I would like to review it before moving forward. She gave me 1 hour to reply. This is ridiculous as I work a full time job and cannot be on my phone all the time. This can be frustrationing as this Place is suppose to be my home. I then called the manager to talk about how rude shawna was. We then spoke on the phone for a bit and told her my horrible expercince. She said she would sent me a message with an offer and try to correct this. The funny thing was Karen Lavallee said she would email me and did but sent it to the wrong email. So 2 days later I just want my deposit back and it seems like rocket sience to get me my money back. Instead of calling me to follow up she just made me run around to find her. This has been the most unfriendly unhelpful experience I have ever had. Not to mention the laziness and double standards. I have heard horror stories of board walk but I wanted to get my see for myself. Also they didn’t want to put in the lease they are a clean building so no bed bugs roaches or rodents. They will verbalize it but have it in writing which is fishy. They are a big company so they will do everything in their power to burn you and talk all your money. Thank you for showing your true colors for I made the biggest mistake ever. Andrew

Very horrible experience. The entire floor is filled with smokers. I have to deal with an apartment that smells like weed every single day. All boardwalk has done is remind me that weed is now legal. They send endless notices without any actual effort to fix it. Do not live here if you don't don't smoke weed, it'll drive you crazy.

(Part 1) I have been living in this apartment for 2 years and will be moving out ASAP. I chose to live in this building because there are very few dog friendly apartments available in the city. I have a 2 year old King Charles Spaniel. Everything is good in here except when you face an issue. I have faced 2 major issues in this apartment and I will try to describe them to the best of my ability: 1) Last year, in the month of September/October I put in a pest(mice) complaint for which boardwalk arranged a contractor to come in. This happened in good time. When the contractor came in we realized, that under the sink and bathroom there were multiple big holes which open up to the central pipes coming into the kitchen and washroom, which is from where the mice came into my apartment. The big holes were patched but some were left stating mice can't come in from here as they probably don't go outside. They also put in the poison traps in the apartment and were supposed to come in every 6 months to replace them but no one came 6 months later. In the month of Oct, 2017 we found another mouse which me and my friend bravely caught sealed it in a ziplock bag and some more poly bags and threw in garbage at which point I raised another complaint. They sent in Pest Control guys again and put more traps and left. I was told that mouse eat the poison and die instantly. My concern was what if they mouse dies after eating the poison outside and my licks or tries to eat it. Since he is a small breed, I was fearful of his health. I was repeatedly assured of how safe this is, but on Nov 28 I woke up to a dead mouse in the living room, fortunately that night my pet Austin decided to sleep in the room and I was able to quickly dispose of the dead mouse(Picture Enclosed Below). I thought the issue was over and was discussing my January lease renewal and was negotiating rates. To be on the safe side I wanted to move into an apartment on 14th floor as I could examine the entire apartment before moving in and limit the pest issue. I was refused any lease discounts on the transfer even though the entire issue was not my fault and because of poor construction/maintenance(i.e. open hoes in walls) by Bwalk the mice entered my apartment. This is when I discovered another mouse which ended up being 3 mice as of today. When I asked for the area coordinator to contact me so I can talk to her directly, I was told via email to the building manager that mice is a common issue and happen everywhere so we will not be held responsible and refused the idea of me breaking the lease without penalty or giving me a lease discount to transfer to another apartment(I was offered 200$ to stay my mice infested apartment which I refused. I chose not to transfer to another apartment and pay full because of the discrimination against existing tenants i.e. offering 30% off to new tenants which no discount to existing tenants. I will be moving to a new apartment immediately and just paying the 1 month rent.). This Mice Infested Apartment is a health hazard for me and could seriously harm Austin. From what I have been told this could lead to the death of a small dog if the animal is ingested. But Karen Lavallee the Area Coordinator has no concern for me or my pet and all she cares about is upholding the lease and penalizing tenants for her and the building faults. She does not have the basic curtsy to call me and talk to me to understand my issues. To break my lease 1 month early she wants me to pay roughly $6,000. I am not sure if she is a pet owner, if she is, she clearly does not care about other pets or place value to their lives in my point of view. She might be good in her role, so she should clearly in charge of other non pet friendly apartments. Other individuals in the building have similar issues but most of them have been their for ages and are not moving but lot of people have gotten up and just left because of the issue. I hope the senior management looks into the issue seriously to avoid any avoidable instances which could make them liable.

We have lived in this building for a year, we love it so much, the staff is great, most tenants are very friendly, the view is absolutely amazing, and so many cute dogs hereβ™₯️ sadly we are moving, bitter sweet as we are relocating to BC. Effi who works in the office is always very accommodating, I would recommend t building to anyone looking for a place to call home

This is one of the best place on s s side. Office staff i had efe. She is my angel. Found my perfect home ok couple months later didn't win contest but building still hand delivered reusable straw for participating so cool

I was going to rent here, but the staff gave me a bad expression, and after I took the appointment and went to see the apartment, his telling me a different room rent, so when you confirm the rate and book an appointment, how does the rate change in a moment? I just told him that respect people and time, because i took one hour lunch break to see the apartment and sign the lease right away, Not good man !!
