★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a gardening company I need a lot of soil for planting perrenials, trees and shrubs. Last year I was recommended the garden mix at Riverstone Garden Center from another garden company and it changed everything. Soil that came with a proper mix! Beautiful rich, sandy, loamy soil high in organic matter that holds it's moisture well and doesn't compact like so many others. It also doesn't smell like Edmonton compost (sorry Edmonton, that stuff isn't great), NO CLAY CHUNKS from farmers fields and way less weeds (not a strand of quack grass or thistle root), maybe some clover at most. I won't get soil from anywhere else. And on top of it all they are super friendly and offer great prices.

I made an error when ordering what I thought was 2" limestone beside our house which in fact was 1". The driver shows up, dumps, and I stand there looking at some way too large rock. Call Todd and he says if I help load it back into the truck he will bring us the 1" limestone like we really need. Just as the driver and I are finishing up Todd arrives with a small bag of the 1" to show me, has a look along the side of our house to confirm it is in fact the right rock.
In the end the customer satisfaction from the driver and Todd deserves 10 Stars. I highly recommend using Riverstone for all your landscaping needs, we know we will be !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Over the past number of years we purchased compost from the City of Edmonton but unfortunately it wasn't available this year. Since Riverstone Garden Centre is close by, we decided to purchase from them. However, the compost is in no way comparable and we will not be repeat customers. The compost isn't well screened and we found multiple pieces of broken glass. The worst part of this compost is that when watering our pots it stains our deck and driveway with a reddish brown colour. We had hoped that after a few times watering this colour would dissipate, but it hasn't. Very poor product so be aware.
It's too bad as the people working there are nice and it's in a good location. Please look at finding another source for your compost.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff is SO incredibly helpful!!! The gentleman who answered the phone told us all about limestone dust even though we weren't able to buy anything due to the weather. He gave us so many pointers even though the limestone was currently not available. We have bought stuff in the past and they were equally helpful and we wil definetly continue to buy and recommend from this company. Excellent prices and individuals who work there!!! THANK YOU!!!

Come here if you know what you want, and they will load it for you and you will drive away. No BS. Rock, gravel, shale, loam, bark of all size, sod, felt, pavers, brick. They deliver and have drivers for rent as well. Easy to get to. Easy to drive a truck, tractor, trailer into and out of.
Picked up cedar mulch today - best price for best product around!
