Riley Park Apartments - Calgary

Sunnyside feels like home and so, too, does Riley Park Apartments. I have lived here for (ahem) a number of years. My apartment is a bit too spacious to be called cozy but it suits me just right. It is so convenient! The train, Safeway, a whole lot of eateries and Riley Park. What more could you ask? There are a lot of young people living here and they are good, fun neighbors. The maintenance staff and office guys are so helpful and friendly that I just have to give them cookies at Christmas.

A very wonderful apartment building to live in! Right on 10th street, right behind the Safeway. This building has a lot going on! There is constant maintenance, and the quality of tenant care is the exceptional and very quick! Had an issue with black goo coming up from my sink, and the guy to fix it came to my door not even 5 minutes after letting someone know, and we‘ve never had another issue since. ☺️??

This is my favourite place I have ever lived! The management is accommodating, the units are large for their price (especially given the shoe boxes that are passing for apartments in the area lately!), and the view I get of Kensington and downtown is just phenomenal. Plus, the train station is super close to get to work, I can drive to the mountains without hitting downtown traffic, and groceries and food are super accessible. No groaning about having to go get forgotten eggs, it takes five minutes to pop down and grab them. As a bonus, there is a garbage chute in the building; you don't even have to leave your floor to take out the trash. This building makes living just so easy.

Honestly one of the better places I've lived. The building itself has great staff. The surrounding neighbourhood is amazing and everything my roommate and i use is in walking distance. Our unit is nice and spacious runs alittle hot even with the heat off but other than that it's amazing! Been living here for the last 6 months on the dot more or less.

Been living here about 8 months or so, and have had nothing but good experiences with the management and neighbours. Had an electrical problem and they came to see the same day- turned out to be a switch-operated outlet but they double checked just in case! Great views from the balcony and pet friendly- so many cute dogs in the building! Management emails frequently about the building and any concerns they have, and are quick to respond. Living directly next to the train station is a little noisy but incredibly convenient for those without a car or students like me. And only a minute away from Safeway, which is awesome! Just the right size for 2 people and a couple of cats in the 1 bedroom suites. Couldn't be happier!

I’ve lived here for 2 years now, and it’s absolutely perfect! Super close to transit (and the only times I hear it is when the train honks, and that’s a good heads up something interesting might be happening), tons of room for activities in the unit, and the building has been slowly renovated (our lobby is AWESOME now!). The landlord and maintenance are incredibly responsive to any issues (I actually feel like they care about me when I contact them), and I have 0 issues with hearing any of my neighbours! It’s also in the perfect spot in Kensington, as it’s far enough away from the “main” area to keep the noise down, but easily within walking distance of most things! I highly recommend this place if anyone is looking for somewhere to live.

Living here has been wonderful! The landlords are so understanding and caring, whatever your problem is, they’ll have it fixed with no issue. I’m also a pet lover & have two kitties now—they’re super flexible with animals, especially if they’re rescued—they will waive the fee if you’ve got them from a shelter! Overall the apartments are a perfect size for my little family, and I couldn’t ask for a better, well affordable apartment!

The building was relatively old given that there are so many newly constructed condos nearby. However, they just underwent renovation and they have generally kept a good maintenance of the building. The management is attentive and whenever I submitted a maintenance request, it got handled in a day or two. The location is just excellent, in which the back door leads you to the c train station in less than a minute, and Safeway is just around the corner. I also like that our rent includes all the utilities and do not have to worry when we have a colder winter and a surprising bill for the heat or so. One funny thing (not necessarily a criticism) is that they installed a few large decorative pieces in the lobby in the past few months, and I was startled by their extraordinary taste, haha. I don’t know how to describe it… old Hollywood style? Now we have a huge fake lamppost, a velvet blue sofa in the lobby, and a flashing signpost saying “Hoist Way”, above the elevator, alongside a painting with a peacock. ? What I would hope that they can improve is the hygiene of the laundry room, because I found the machines to be quite dirty and I always have to bring a wet towel myself to clean it before use. Of course, if every tenant wipe it down after use would solve the problem, but if that’s not realistic then I hope that the management can at least clean it daily just like how they clean the public area in the building. We had two false fire alarms in the past few months but I think both of the times were not the management’s faults. It seems like most of the bad reviews are a result of our tenants accidentally allowed some non-tenants to sneak in. Anyway, I’m pretty happy to live here and do not plan to move in a near future as long as they don’t increase the rent.
