★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best vantage points near Canmore. My favorite of the Canmore Quad. It's an uphill grind the entire way (~2hrs up). Did the loop in clockwise direction, the other direction seems more difficult to scramble up so I'd recommend clockwise to anyone else.

Rewarding view from the top and a great looped trail that gives a lot of views.
Intermediate to advanced hikers, took about 5 hours at a quick pace.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would recommend to ascent Grotto Mountain at the end of May or early June when still plenty of snow on the summits but not too much on the trail and ridge. Technically it is not more than easy scramble and carrying any gear like crampons ow snowshoes not necessarily if you know weather conditions
