Revolution Thrift Store - Calgary

The store itself is very spacious and has a lot of things that people would like they're just opening so they're going to make mistakes but they have real potential to be a amazing thrift store, they're already halfway there. Also the other person I left a review saying that there was no change rooms open that's because of covid... Not a bad overall thrift store it was pretty good.

This thrift store I found was priced too high for some sub par items. I also think this a for-profit thrift store which is a shame (I very well could be wrong). I would rather support other stores that do plenty of good with their profits. I understand that running a storefront like this comes with several costs so they need keep up but I just find it isn't affordable as most thrifts stores. I don't think I will find myself shopping here again.

Always offering good deals and they even sell some houseplants in repurposed pots

Just visited for the first time since they opened this week. Despite being the only people in the store at the time, we weren't greeted or acknowledged in any way. The selection was poorly organized, with no coordination of the collection for color or size. Kind of maddening to find anything. Generally sub-par selection, and didn't seem well-curated, although the store is big and has potential. Unfortunately, after finding a few items to try on, we were informed rather dismissively that there were no change rooms. The staff didn't bother to mention anything about a return policy, or even seem concerned whether they sold us clothes or not. A real turn off, especially considering it's a new business and should be trying to stand out. I contrast the service and selection starkly with another local store, 17th Avenue Thrift just a few blocks away, with far superior selection and amazing customer service. If Revolution care much about staying open they should pop in sometime and take a few notes.

The items were more dated and I did find that the prices were on the higher end. But it was well set up and organized. They have clothes, shoes, and miscellaneous items like planters, books, toys, decor, vases and more.

I was not gonna write this review because I wanted to keep it a secret so people wouldn’t find this hidden gem!!! but they deserve 10 stars!!!and more! This is simply one of the best thrift stores I’ve been to! They just opened last year and they have done an excellent job! The quality in their items and their client service it’s outstanding! So idk what the people is talking about in the other reviews but I got nothing but a great service and welcoming atmosphere since I went into the door ? their prices are crazy low in comparison with the quality they offer and also comparing with other thrift shops in Calgary. it’s crazy to me that they opened in the middle of a pandemic and have manage to create such a lovely place! This is gonna be my favourite thrift store from now on and hope for many year to come ?

Amazing thrift store, quality quality pieces for good thrift prices. Not gouging like value village. The younger blonde lady who helped me was absolutely delightful, this is will a permanent thrift stop for me.

I love popping into this store. In my experience, each shop has a different 'vibe' and Revolution Thrift store is simply pleasant and jovial. This store is well worth a visit! (Take advantage of the sales.) This is a clean, straight forward shop that is intent upon "doing good for the community," whilst striving to grow its business. Since this family business opened, I have visited numerous times. They have a $1.99 rack that draws me in (now as an excuse to just visit) and I have purchased high quality items from this rack alone. This family "knows their stuff." They sell high end brand names for remarkably reasonable prices; and yet, charge very little for personal care items - because these are deemed as basic needs. Very kind and genuine, each member of staff is lovely in their manner and will share their warm sense of humour. I've witnessed each customer being treated with grace and dignity. The shop draws great customers. I have never left without feeling appreciated and cared for. Staff are not only gracious, but also intent upon creating an atmosphere of genuine respect, appreciation and kindness. Having worked in and with start-up companies, I recognize the massive amount of effort, heart and dedication that goes into establishing and growing a business. In this market, used clothing/items is competitive, in that there are larger companies, some non-profit, that might charge less. In some cases, volunteers provide the man hours needed. While this is not a judgment, it may help to understand why the prices may vary in any independent store. I encourage you to stop in!
