My absolute favourite place to come thrift at! It feels so great supporting a business that is trying to do great things for the beautiful creatures who need some help. Sue is an incredible person and it's always a joy to see her when we stop by. Come bring your pets for treats and snuggles and check out their never ending supply of antiques, vintage, Y2K, and modern designer items at insanely reasonable prices!

This is one of the few thrift stores in Calgary that I absolutely love to go to. The prices are fair (they don’t mark up name brand just for the sake of profit) and they donate to animal shelters in the city. They always have interesting and vintage pieces available (thank for limiting resellers) and it’s always fun to dig around. The owner, as well as the staff are great people to talk with and always make you feel welcome. I have found some great pieces in the past and always make sure to donate any clothing I have from my closet purges to these guys as it 1) goes to a good cause and 2) I know others will get to enjoy the things I bring it for a fair price. 100/10 would recommend for anyone in the area (even if you aren’t in the area) to go to.

I used to frequent here as often as I could when I lived in Calgary. Always friendly with the best items in town and at the best price. I’m glad to see 17th Ave dealing with resellers in a polite and diplomatic way that benefits the average vintage shopper. Some of my most treasured clothing items came from here which I wouldn’t have been able to afford had I bought it through a reseller. Keep doing what you’re doing for the community and the animals.

Great thrift store that supports animal rescues from your purchase. Buy something lovely and help improve the life of a rescue animal. The store has some terrific finds and in the means of supporting local community members to ensure everyone has access to great finds, the owner has made the decision to limit some purchases to curb bulk buying from profit resellers on SM. That truly indicates a love of local community to ensure equitable opportunities to locals to purchase. ❀️ Come browse, donate or find your own treasure in this little, local treasure! Great place to shop, great staff and great owner who supports their community.!

This is my favourite thrift store in Calgary! Although their location appears to be small, it is actually filled with so many treasures and quality clothing items. I feel like every item is hand-picked, which means it is easier to find good quality and trendy pieces, compared to some other thrift shops in Calgary. Sue & the staff are also very friendly and willing to offer help when needed. I have never had a bad experience here and I have been coming for years. It’s also nice to see some of the furry friends visiting in store time to time.

I always find something great at 17th Ave thrift! I went into the store because they had shared these shoes on their Instagram. Brand new unworn Docs for $125! While in store I also found these cute earrings. Always fair prices and hidden gems. Staff and patrons are always very friendly. Highly recommend this thrift store!

Cannot begin to explain all the different ways this store is amazing! Great staff, timely rotation of seasonal stock, amazing prices, great brands, supports animal shelters, supports human shelters.. I could go on and on. They are being harshly judged for preventing "pickers" from taking all the great pieces to mark up elsewhere. Those on a fixed budget can afford to shop here and they are working to keep it that way. Conscious, thoughtful and kind. This store and the wonderful woman who operates it are salt of the earth. Highly recommended a visit.. You won't be disappointed. β™₯️β™₯️

I used to be an avid thrifter but I’ve found that with the rise and popularity of thrifting came a loss of selflesses, raise in prices, less cool finds and just a decrease in the positive thrifting environment + ethicality that came with it. That being said I stopped thrifting but a while back my friends and I decided to make a last minute stop during our trip to Calgary and I’ve never been so thankful for a last minute decision! My friends and I all went in smiling and left with even bigger smiles (and bigger bags)?. Time flew past us and although the store was closed they let us stay longer and not once were we made to feel like an inconvenience. While there past hours a homeless individual walked in thinking it was open and after explaining to the individual that the store was closed the owner noticed they weren’t wearing gloves and kindly grabbed a pair and donated it on the sot without a single bit of hesitation. My friends and I were so happy we planned to come out again as soon as we could and we still talk about how much we found and how great we felt while being there. Not a single bad thing to say about staff or the interior. Wish I lived in Calgary ? - Also wanna add that we got the pleasure of asking the owner why the store was such a passion to her and her message was amazing. I would truly recommend 17th ave thrift store to anyone. Regardless of if you don’t have the money to spend I recommend donating what you can… Have that be money, clothes, your time to volunteer or just going in for 5-10 min and asking the passion story behind this amazing place. I promise it’s worth it.
