When asked why now it is 1000 lady said she doesn’t know bc she has been employed with real star for a month. Very upsetting. Property on 97 Rockwood st cathrines Ontario

I observed there to be longer term (30+ years) tenants in surrounding suites. The office of the property management business is downstairs and the residences are separate and HAVE their own entrances.

R	Richard McFadden on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ St. Lawrence Village (Realstar) is poorly run and strictly a money grab. They are currently in a court case due to them wanting to increase the rent price above what they are legally allowed to do. They state that there has been upgrades to the building warranting this increase, however I haven’t been able to get into the door at the side of the building because it has been broken for a week. When finally leaving this place, they weren’t happy with how clean I left it. It was not up to ‘realstar standards’, whatever that means. They firmly stated that they should not have to clean the apartment at all before the next tenant moves in. That doesn’t sound right… and if I didn’t comply, they would clean it and send me to collections to pay for it. I was told that they were open 8am to 5pm so that day I e-mailed regarding another final inspection that would be up to their move-in ready standards. I said I would be there in a few days at 8am as I work and that is the only time I can get there. I got no response to that e-mail for days. I went at 8am and waited for a while. I called the office and Louise apparently doesn’t start until 9am. She is the one that told me they are open 8am to 5pm and the one that didn’t respond to the e-mail. So another missed meeting which seems common for the St. Lawrence Village staff. The staff is difficult to deal with in most situation. Stay away from this place. As previously stated, it is poorly run, run down, and they will go to court just to increase your rent more than they legally are allowed. I wish there was a zero star option.

The building is constructed of wood so fire would be dangerous The floors have no sound insulation. You could tell when the person above had a male visited by the way the bed rocked. Lol.
R	Richelle D on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Apartments are fine but the floor was not flush to the wall which left big gaping holes by the baseboards. Also you can tell they painted over dirt and dust rather than cleaned. Grounds are nice but not enough garbage space. The company however... well you'd have a better time sleeping in a box. They will do a lot of shady and illegal things to force more money out of you. They did that for me. Told me my notice was invalid refused to accept it and tried to force me to pay more rent. Don't rent here if you don't absolutely have to. Also the taps perpetually leak. They leaked all 3 years I lived there. They "fixed it" multiple times.
