In my case, the listing agent inflated the frontage by 14ft or 23% in MLS listing and APS, all she gets is only a warning and additional training. Furthermore, the ruling stays in only RECO file, the public could not even see that even if you google the agent in RECO file. Where is the accountability? Its shamefully for RECO to claim its mandate is to protect public while blatantly protect real estate agents. The public needs to push for independent regulating body for Ontario Real Estate agents!
A	Al Mac on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would give 0 stars if possible. This is the most useless licensing council in Ontario, doing nothing but protecting their own and who act in bad faith. Real Estate agents are paid commission on brokering deals with tenants on behalf of landlords, and can do so by being deceptive, manipulative, dishonest and misleading, yet there is absolutely zero action from this council on holding these bad faith actors accountable. If you don't get action from RECO, call the Ontario Ombudsman and report them.

They have the authority to license people, fraudulent people and when we try to call them and their associates out they block us and never offer support. You people are all the same , stealing the hard-earned working class peoples’ money !
M	M B on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Finally own a house but only after some terrible bidding experiences. Lack of enforcement of/ outdated regulations. Agents manipulating market, "verbal offers" to raise price, asking if you can do better. On biggest financial decision one has least protection thanks to RECO. If you do report, there's a disclaimer they will share all the evidence with the complainee so that's re-assuring.... especially when agents often know each other.
L	Loading Less on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Canada is a free country and this is why many people move here, when government institutions, like reco, start to make silly, unreasonable regulations and rules, it really spits on the premises countries like this was founded on. Reco works for us the people, they are public servants, not our parents to start making up ridiculous regulations. For example, agents can’t use bird dogs or compensate unregistered consumers for a referral? We are all adults and can make the best decisions for ourselves and our families, we don’t need government institutions to regulate and make silly little rules about every little thing, this is not North Korea, you are working for adults, not children.
J	James L on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My previous Brokerage forced me to sign a bully trade sheet with extra fee otherwise they will not paid me any fee. I made a complain to RECO, RECO does not do anything to protect my commission even though I pay Reco insurance very year. The RECO still allows the brokerage to renewal their license, giving them more chances to bring disgraces and shames to Real estate business by asking people to pay more than what the contract clearly stated while they are holding your Money on hand.
A	Aldo Gregori on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a really bad experience with a realtor in Hamilton (St.Jean), they try to make me sign an offer to buy a house out of market without seeing it and with a tenant inside when they knew I was looking for a house to live in. Moreover the price of that home was crazy high respect the value on the market, in fact it was listed several times later for a lot less and always removed from the market. I wrote a complain and what office said, they did not broke rules. Push a person in buying blindly an over evaluated home where he cannot live in. Anyway I did not sign that stupid offer.

They got weeded out because of fake landlord reference, failure to provide paystubs and credit reports, plus a lowball offer while there were multiple offers. Now that person is kicking and screaming and filing complaints because things didn't go her direction, and RECO was one of the organizations she complained to. Upon reading the reviews below, and seeing how incompetent and useless this organization is, makes me really happy for my agent and her manager, who were harassed with yelling and racism name callings, and I am happy I dodged a terrible tenant. I hope this pest's complaint never gets taken seriously.
