not a good bank. Dont bank here.was over changed for car loan never have got my money back and no one was help full. can no one know how to help. they told be that i will get my money back after 8 day but never got money or any help with it.

I have no idea how this bank is rated 4/5 stars. I have had nothing but problems with them. When I go to deposit a cheque the tellers always say, condescendingly, I can use the ATM. It takes a few days for the cheque to clear, and I'd rather have access to all my funds right away. The eye rolling I've received over the years is quite tiring. I deposited a larger chunk of money, and at that time I was asked where I got it from. That is fair enough, I understand they have to check for money laundering etc.. but weeks later the teller asked me to explain where I got it again, and to top things off.. the manager did as well a separate occasion with another teller. Seems like an unusual, and personal thing to ask of someone just moving around money in accounts. It was previously proven money was legal.. stay out of my personal life. When I got my house mortgage, I agreed to a 25 year plan. A week or so later when I went to sign the papers, it had been changed to a 30 year plan. She said she didnt want to bother me, and thought it would help my application (Maybe it did help, but atleast tell me). During that week she had been emailing me about lawyers she recommended.. I have proof of times and dates. When I complained to the manager about it, I told him he could let her know that I was upset and felt put on the spot to sign the 30 year agreement. He told her and then she confronted me via email and telephone. She said things like she "is in treats at her desk." Talk about unprofessional drama.. what a terrible experience.. I opened a business account for a small production company, and they screwed up the name and called it the name of my partners previous company. I had just transferred funds into it, and was getting ready to film etc.. someone from RBC called and asked why I hadn't used my account yet. They said they "had noticed no activity." Talk about insulting!? What business is it of his? So far reaching and rude. What was the point of his phone call? Was he going to help my business? I recently decided to go back to school, and decided to apply for a student loan. Today I was shut down despite having the same amount of funds in RRSP's that asked for in my loan. He also went on to say my savings is amazing, and my credit is great.. I'm turned down because I don't have a job currently, but I'm enrolled in school full-time with part time employment in mind. After all the terrible experiences with them.. they had an opportunity to turn things around, and do me a favor. Lend me money with high interest.. I don't understand the risk? I was told that it's their model.. so what? It's stupid.. I will be severing ties with RBC and doing my best to steer people clear of this invasive, rude, unprofessional, arrogant, and conceeded bank.

It is the worst bank I have ever been with and I have been with 3 other banks. I Will be switching all my accounts and my mortgage, to someone that doesn't call me aggressively when i missed one payment in 6 years because my partner got laid off, and I was on Isolation due to COVID. They claim that they will be accommodating during COVID. What lies. We save there kids, partners, parents, grandparents..... And not one accomidation. Please do not invest your money with them. That's the worst mistake I have made... choosing RBC

I have had a car loan and credit card, with this bank and credit card for over 3.5 years. I have a been a good customer. I missed a payment due to a banking error. They harassed me... I answered the phone. The lady on the phone had a very aggressive attitude. I said, sorry about the last payment. I had to juggle some stuff around. I was on isolation. I explained I am a front line worker, that's spent the whole time fighting COVID, for them and their loved ones. No appreciation or consideration given. I am paying off my car and shredding my credit card from them. I will not be supporting this bank any longer. They claim they can be accommodating, but they are liars.

I love coming to this bank. Everyone is very helpful and very professional. I started coming to the downtown Royal Bank after dealing with the very unprofessional Northgate Royal Bank. They were a nightmare to deal with. Thank goodness for the downtown Royal Bank. They make the experience so much better. I actually like going to the bank now. Thank you for that.

This is in general and not directed for this location. RBC is by one of the worst banks I've dealt with. They are not helpful, constantly harassing, and especially don't live up to their own word or obligation they make to the customer.

this branch is a waste of time Went to this branch with an appointment did not take long to see me. The woman I went to go and see cannot understand what I meant by switching money to different accounts and closing some accounts she kept on telling me so you weren't empty it all I actually had to raise my voice to her in the office NO she took me to the front where she tried to get the new guy to do it where the woman that was supposed to be helping me ask me do you know how to I explained myself to three different people all of them got confused because what I was saying and what she was saying were completely different things they eventually found out how to change one thing I asked for but couldn't figure out how to do the rest so I told them I was done have a great day got my bank card walked out went to another Branch with no appointment waited in line it was quite busy so I waited patiently and the person on the front was able to do everything I needed and wanted with my banking

For me, I have had nothing but exceptional service, as long as I communicate clearly, I'm patient with tellers, and supervisors are willing to listen to feedback given. Then again, what I do with this bank overall is pretty soft ball stuff. Safe deposit box, multiple accounts, line of credit, business financing and employee payments. The payments on my property are done through an independent brokerage so that I can avail myself of certain tax exemptions. Outside of that, I only ever go to the branch if I can't do something online or over the phone. Can someone tell me what these one star reviews are expecting? Tellers have bad days too ya know. Secondly, they have no choice on what they ask and when they ask it. They follow policy, and if the system says "Do this" they do it. Usually it's either a technicality or a miscommunication among ranks. What really matters is how you get treated by people who can actually make a difference. These tellers aren't shouting at you, or making snide remarks. They aren't disrespecting you or going of their way to create conflicts with their coworkers or their supervisors. It's true that some people aren't cut out for this kind of work, but generally they quit before they get far, or they get laid off at the first opportunity. Remember that you're still dealing with human beings...
