M	Michelle B on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really didn’t appreciate the lady at the counter who harassed me for not using RBC to get my mortgage while I went in to get a bank draft for my down payment on a house. I use your services already yet I did what was best for me. Please advise your staff not to harass or try to make customers feel bad for not using all of your services.

The bank teller told me that there would be a 15 day hold on it and that she wasn't sure if she could even deposit it. I ask her if she was certain that a government cheque would have a hold on it...she stated "well yes, we need to verify the cheque". She then walked away and to ask for a second opinion. She returned and told me that they "cannot deposit the U.S. cheque". I drove to the the Royal Bank on Macleod Trail and had it deposited - was in and out of the bank in 5 minutes.
F	FErig on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredibly inept service. Required bank statements for gov. program and proof of account closure. Were told this could not be given. Took another trip back to bank, pressed them, and finally got what we needed. Tellers do not seem to know what they are doing and are unwilling to ask for help. The very fact we closing the account was because of these kinds of difficulties for the two years the account was active. No apology whatsoever given for our difficulties in receiving the requested paperwork or for our need to return back to bank, following initial appointment. The woman that finally helped us out and solved the big, seemingly, insurmountable problem both tellers insisted was the case, was very knowledgeable, and she solved our issue, but our teller still tried to explain his ineptitude away and neither said sorry for our inconvenience.

M	Mohammad Ahmed on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Opened an account with rbc in July 2021. Did not receive card/followed up in August/September 2021. Now it’s Mach 17, 2022. I still have not received my card. I have been charged monthly fees for having this account opened. Initially, after following up about not receiving the card, Oley, a rep at RBC assured me she would look after these fees so long as I don’t receive my card. On the second week of March, I went into the RBC in fairmont Calgary. The teller said that they cannot refund it, and the branch manager also came to confirm that they can not refund it. I would recommend staying away from RBC. I would recommend ATB instead.
J	Jimbo Jones on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terribly slow service; very rarely do I need in-person visit but spent over 1/2hr just to pay a CRA invoice. Other time I brought in some rolled coins; neatly counted and packed and was for deposit only. teller told me 'you realize if there are any shortages in these rolls that it s going to be a problem for you...'. Pardon me....allegding that a long time customer may be ripping off the bank for providing coinage and not even asking for paper money in return?!? I left in disgust...should have asked to see the tellers manager and shamed them in front of the entire branch.
